    Yikun Disc With Salient Plastic

For those of you who don't know, Salient and Yikun have an interesting relationship in the disc golf world. Not sure why, but Salient actually uses a lot of Yikun molds and simply renames them and runs them in their own plastics. I.e. Yikun Claws is the Salient Lockjaw, Yikun Wings is Salient Vaccine, etc. The Flatline is the Yikun View driver run in Salient's plastic blends (currently only in Cryo, but Liquid Metal is up next).

This version of Cryo is a little less hardy than other runs, and Salient has fully admitted that. My Flatline I tested was no exception. It's mostly cosmetic damage though. No serious nicks or gouges, but scrapes and dings.

As for flight: I'm no powerhouse, but at my arm speed/power level, what have you, this disc is flippy and glidey. I like to put it on hyzer, watch it flip to flat for about 200 feet or so and then let it track off to the right, settling easily with very little fade. I also rolled it quite a bit.

For now, I've replaced the Flatline with the Yikun Hu for my understable fairway driver slot. Not only is the Hu more durable (in Phoenix line plastic) but a little less squirrely for my arm, while still allowing me to pull off big sky annys and beautiful hyzer flips.

I like the Flatline, but until Salient runs it in Liquid Metal or Liquid, I'll pass.
