The Salient Backdraft is a new wide rimmed stable distance driver. Unlike the Prometheus, the Backdraft has a smaller diameter more common in traditional distance drivers. For advanced disc golfers, this disc will go the distance. This is a very domey driver that glides for days. The Backdraft is available in Liquid, Cryo, and Stiff Cryo plastic blends.

This is a weird looking disc, with it's sharp rim, psudo thumbtrack and large dome I've never seen anything quite like it. It flies basically like a Destroyer. A little turn with good glide and a steady fade, but the grip is a little weird.

I've heard that to calm down the huge dome, they let these cool on their tops which creates a small depression right after the rim. Oddly it actually helps grip it, where the dome might other wise make it less comfortable.

It's a good staple distance driver, but probably not for everyone.

I recently picked this disc up and I must say this discs flight is amazing. At first glance it looks similiar to a ufo or something from the future, with its BIG rim and HUGE dome. The first time I threw flat and with a moderate amount of power and it did exactly what it was suppose to and then surprised me by the distance and glide. I throw a 160g Blizzard Boss and this is always neck and neck with it.
