Love this thing. True control disc. flips flat with a little bit of power, but always has a meathook finish left RHBH. Dependable and predictable. Super fast shipment from Infinite Discs as always.

I love this disc! Period.  I use it for flick forehand shots between 250-280' and it is the disc I have the most confidence in out of everything in my bag.  The plastic is gummy and flexible, and the disc feels great in my hand.  As others have mentioned, it does skip but that is easy to account for when planning your line.  There have been many times where I threw it and thought I turned it over too much only to watch it reliably hook up and get back on target.  I will always bag this one.  If you throw FH, you must have this as your OS mid.

Wow!  This disc can turn on a dime.  This is a pretty overstable disc.  I like to throw on holes with sharp doglegs and when I need to skip around bushes and low hanging tree limbs.

A must have if you flick or throwing into the wind.

This is going in my bag as my new overstable fairway. I really like this plastic! It's slightly gummy and flexible, but the rim is pretty firm. I've always preferred the gummier plastics, like Frost Line.

The Tyrant is a work horse! It basically fills my long skippy Justice spot. It's pretty beefy, but still gets out their a ways! Perfect for those pinpoint short drives or upshots. It does skip a bit, but you can factor that into your throw.

I also really liked putting this disc on an anny line, because I could weave it around a tree and have it fade out of it quickly and smoothly and finish like it always does. This disc is also great for forehanding. My flick isn't great, but I can get this to go better than a lot of discs.

I've been very impressed with Reptilian's molds so far, and I'm looking forward to trying more!

The Tyrant is an excellent overstable control utility disc. Flight wise it is comparable to a Latitude 64 Spark, MVP Resistor, Discraft Flick, or even a flat top firebird, but the feel of Reptilian Hydro plastic is much different than anything else. The Hydro plastic is kind of like Innova Pro plastic, but more elastic and flexible. It really has a good feel to it.

This disc is great for those control flick shots that need to finish right, or a dog leg shot where you need to get around a big tree and finish hard. I'm sure the Tyrant also holds up well in a headwind. This is defintely not a distance driver, and unless I put it on an anhyzer and let it flex, I don't get more than about 250 feet out of the Tyrant.

If you need an overstable control driver that won't ever turn over, and like throwing off brands, you might as well consider the Reptilian Tyrant.

Glad this disc is available on Infinite Discs now!

My OS workhorse fairway is a Proto TI Mantis that isnt produced anymore...it's only a matter of time before I can't get them anymore. I picked up a tyrant to maybe take the Mantis' place.

I ended up bagging both for tournaments.

I definitely get the Mantis out there further, but the Tyrant is way more consistent for me. I can absolutely rip into the Tyrant backhanded and its not turning. Nope, not ever. Headwind? Nope, not turning. It just flies straight then always hooks up at the end. This disc feels like one of my favorite discs in my bag- the Hornet, only faster. I like that. A lot.

The plastic is flexible and grippy, and when I played with it in the wind and rain I definitely felt like it had more control with it

I wouldn't recommend it to beginners as it is probably a bit too beefy for them to really see distance out of, but I think it is something that is useful to have in an intermediate bag.

Great disc, fantastic name, super looking stamp.

Buy one of these bad boys!

    Overstable and...glidey?

I've been throwing RDG discs literally since day one (I tested their very first mold) and the Tyrant was one hyped up and anticipated disc. Luckily, it mostly lived up to expectation.

Whether you throw backhand or forehand, you can expect the Tyrant to be reliably overstable and with a pretty great amount of glide for such an OS disc. Even three months in to throwing mine (but not bagging it full time) my Armor Tyrant fights back out of all but the steepest of anhyzer angles. It fights winds like nobodies business, almost always finishing back on line.

The rim can be a bit sharp at first and may not fit allhands. The Tyrant is OS but not unmangeably so. The Raptor (my favorite RDG driver) is akin to Innova's Banshee while the Tyrant is more akin to a super-beefy Teebird. Its a great disc, but not for beginners.

The Tyrant is a fast-moving, air-slicing, overstable fairway driver that works great for controlled curving shots.  It has a very flat profile and the plastic is nice and grippy. I primarily throw backhand, so I had to rip this disc pretty hard to keep it going straight for any stretch of distance, then it would make a significant fade. The shape and flight characteristics make it much more "tamable" for forehand throwers and it can make a nice overhead, tomahawk disc as well. Getting this disc to fly much more than 250 feet will be a struggle for most players, but that is not what it is designed to do. The Tyrant is a fun, worthy disc for those overstable fairway needs.

I took this out to a more technical course in the area and tested it against a Amber Raptor, Prodigy 400s F2, and C-Line FD2.

    All max weight. Puddle-topped 175g Tyrant. Board-flat 175g Raptor. Mildly high PLH 172g F2. And slightly domey 175g FD2.

In the rain, the Tyrant looked like it would be the most slick gripped, however, that was hardly the case. The C-Line (Champ) FD2 was by far the worst grip, then the Amber Raptor, 400s F2, and shockingly, the Ozone version of Armor is much grippier than Daredevil or Gateway Armor.

As far as flight in rain with still wind, the Tyrant and F2 flew nearly exactly the same. First 340' hole landed within 10' three times. The Raptor was quite a bit shorter, around 300' every time and further to the left, and the FD2 was straighter, but about the same length as the Prodigy F2 and Tyrant.

I threw these four drivers exclusively today for four of the holes and had very similar results. Today, the wind picked up and the rain stopped. So, I went to a notoriously windy course in Grand Rapids - right by the highway, across from the airport. Wind demons abound! There was a sustained headwind of about 15mph with 20-30mph gusts consistently on the 4 holes I was testing on. The first hole is only 280', but with the strongest headwinds. The Raptor fought out like a champ and ended right between myself and the hole - about 25' short. I grabbed the F2 and it turned over a little, but fought back and ended a bit right, but pin-high and 30' right. I replaced the FD2 with a Teebird and she flipped right over and ended about 100' right of the pin. Then, I took the Tyrant, lined up, took a firm grip and ripped that pink beauty right at the basket! Even in strong wind, it flew DEAD straight without turning over at all. Just before the pin, she started to fade a bit and the wind kicked her dead into the dirt. I was a little disappointed, but with these winds, I cannot place any blame on the disc...

Until I reached the pin. Thrown flat, directly at the pin. 280' out into solid 20mph headwind +gusts, and it landed about 5' past the pin just to the left. Talk about a wind fighter! Most discs would have turned over and flown too far right or would have been squashed by the wind and thrown down much shorter. I was impressed in the wind to say the least.

Move along three more holes into the same headwinds and gusts, and see the same thing replicated. If thrown high, like and disc, the wind will toss it around. However, if thrown flat and straight, the Tyrant acts as if there isn't even wind present. All the while, without having to hold onto a vicious fade in calm conditions. Somehow, the Tyrant has a strong, but not overbearing fade without wind, but still holds true when you're facing a stiff headwind.

Both in the still air, and the strong breeze, the Tyrant proved to be a great addition to my bag. Just as reliable as my favorite Prodigy F2 in the calm, but held up better in the wind.

The longer I have these, the more I reach for them. At different power and release points, I've been replacing everything from Firebird-type shots, to PD flex drives, to spike midrange shots. Moreover, I have never had a strong forehand game or felt comfortable forehanding, but with a Tyrant, I'm getting more distance from my forehands with more ease and comfort than ever. (I'm sure part of this is due to practice with a comfortable disc)

Puddle tops are a bit more OS, but I love the grip for forehands and the flat top is great for both. I'm bagging the more beat puddle top no stamp for touch forehand and straight to fade shots and the newest flat top for perfect reliability. I actually stopped bagging my OS high-PLH Petro because between an FD and flat Raptor, I can adjust to cover most of those shots. I'd kill for a truly understable RDG fairway to to have all fairway offerings covered, but unless I really beat in an Armor Flex Ptero, I know it's not RDG's style to may anything on the understable side. Either way, I'm so impressed and so happy with my Faction offerings!

Pretty much any drive I need to make under 340', I'm reaching for a Tyrant if I can. I'm loving it hardcore.

Slam dunk, RDG. Tee-Banshee for the win.

I have been waiting for this disc to get on here! A buddy of mine gave me one to throw and i love the feel and dependability of it! It is a meat hook at first and great for forehand shots or headwind backhand shots. It is a slower firebird with a nice feeling rim and flat top. A great disc that is under rated from my view that advanced players will love! Beginners may like the feel but it is a very overstable disc.
