The J-Star is the perfect way to introduce little kids to Ultimate.
When small people with small hands are not as coordinated, a regular Ultimate Frisbee hurts and jams fingers when they try to catch. Not only is the JStar lighter and smaller, but it is super soft and more forgiving.
Once kids get the coordination and confidence, then they can move on to a regular 175g Ultimate disc.
