The Max Performance Starter Set by Divergent Discs features three discs that use easy-to-throw designs and a high level of dependability. This great set includes the Nuno putter, the Kapre midrange, and the Basilisk distance driver. The Basilisk is a distance driver designed to give a full S-curve flight path for women, senior citezens, recreational players and others who throw less than 250 feet of total distance.

The Kapre and Nuno have good stability but minimal end-fade for good, straight flight paths. The discs come in Divergent Disc's Max Grip plastic which combines good durability and a grippy feel for better control. Test out your disc golf abilities with this high performance set.

NOTE: Disc and stamp colors can vary from the photos. Also disc weights can vary but are generally in the most popular range of 160 grams - 175 grams.

I've been playing with these discs for the past few days, they are fun to throw around. The plastic is an interesting blend; its real grippy, stiff but bendable, and pretty durable. I find that this plastic is comfortable in my hand. It inspires confidence. At this price, it is incredibly hard to beat the value provided in this set.
The Basilisk makes for an excellent first distance driver, to me it feels a little odd in the hands. Despite this, I am able to get some good throws with the Basilisk. It gives a good "S" curve in the air. For most beginners this disc will provide some great distance. It will work well as an all-purpose disc, it can hold hyzer lines and provide some reat anhyzer lines as well. I don't see this disc staying in the bag as the player improves and passes the beginner phase.
The Kapre is a great midrange. This has the all-purpose tendencies to it, it can hold a lot of different lines. It has a good amount of stability to it that it can do hyzer lines, and if you want, you can get it on some anhyzer lines. I found that it tends to work its way out of the anhyzer lines though. Overall, this is an excellent midrange.
The Nuno is very much in line with the set, as it is an all-purpose putter. This disc can do almost everything that you would want it to do. Making it a great approach disc and a great putting disc. I found myself using this one a lot. It fits comfortably in my hand, and it worked well for my play style.
Overall, this is a really good disc golf set.

I bought a few of these sets and was a bit surprised to find all three were exactly the same down to the color (Yellow, red, blue). That's not actually an issue but I suppose I expected differences. The discs are good quality and the plastic is definitely more premium than $17 would get you from many of the larger disc companies. I was also a bit surprised that the weights were heavier than most sets I've seen (the putter is 173-176g and driver 170-172g based on the stickers, midrange is more like 165g). So far I wouldn't say I've used any of the discs more than the Basilisk distance driver, and it flies decently and is turning out to be a good roller for me. I've nailed a couple trees and it's holding up just fine so far. Ultimately I think this is a good set and I definitely recommend for the price!
