This bag makes for a great travel bag. I can fit it (along with a few discs) in my checked luggage whenever flying. It beats having to pay extra to take my regular bag. This bag is also great for anyone who isn't looking to carry a lot of discs. It is lightweight and fairly durable, as well as an excellent value!
I would say that this bag does its job and that's about it. Meaning, It will hold discs and a water bottle basically. The quality isn't great, my shoulder strap clasps broke right away, terrible design to have plastic clasps. The middle disc divider tore from the stitching. In the end it is a cheap entry bag and does what it needs I guess, but there are way better options on the market for not too much more money.
Innova Starter Bag (Black/Grey) - Admittedly, I haven't tried "all" the bags in this price-range, but I bought a few that I didn't like and ended up giving them away. I ended up buying this one for my wife who has about 9 discs and plays with me once or twice a month. Previously she had used the MVP Cell Bag which holds about the same amount of discs but wasn't rigid at all. Even full of discs it would just flop over. This Innova bag has a rigid bottom and some structural integrity on the sides so that it stands upright even with 3 or 4 discs in it. I think the construction and build quality could be more robust, but then you would be paying more than $17 for it and should just upgrade to something nicer. All in all, I'm glad to see her enjoying it and that it hasn't tipped all her discs into the mud like her last bag.
Great choice for someone looking to get into the sport as it is very cheap. Depending on what you throw, it can hold between 10-12 discs. Also has a water bottle holder that holds a 16 oz plastic water bottle. No room for storage.
Also a good choice for someone trying to get into glow disc and doesn't want to carry their large bag with them.
The Innova starter bag is about a basic as you can get for a disc golf bag. This bag is for the casual player who plays the occasional round or a beginner just getting their collection started. The bag will hold about 10 discs and of course one putter on the front.
The bag is divided into two sections, the front of which has another little half divider that keeps more used discs a little bit easier to reach out of the bag as it kinda props them up just a little bit higher than the rest.
There is a drink holder but it's pretty flimsy. Unless you have something large to stretch the rim around your drink it will probably just flop out.
There is also a small front zipper compartment for small, flat things. If you have a putter in the putter pocket you really can't fit much into the pouch. About all I could use it for was doggy bags.
The strap isn't very comfortable, just a basic nylon strap. Again this is for more casual players and people who just need something to carry a few discs with them.
But the build quality is good. Solid materials overall even if the thing is a bit uncomfortable and cumbersome at times. If you can swing something in the $40 range you can find something much better however if you're just looking to be cheap.. this is a viable option.
