6 years later this baby is still holding up. All the zippers and fasteners are still functioning. The base of the bag is pretty beat up because there is no hard plastic protection. The bag though doesn't stand straight up very well.
Great practice , light game, or gift bag. I gave these to several friends when teaching them the game. a quality bag that will last many years.
While there's nothing really wrong with this bag, I just have a hard time recommending it with the other options out there, even just from Innova. I mean, with the Discover (holds 10-15 and costs ~$20) and the Starter (holds 8-10 and costs ~$15) this bag that costs ~$27 and holds 8-12...I just don't see why anyone should buy this nowadays. Now, when neither of those other bags were around, this is really all I had to buy (from Innova atleast), but now those other two bags are just better.
But I will say that this bag can take some punishment, years of disc golf and all that happened was it got dirty. And the Velcro inserts allow you to organize your discs in the bag, and the bottle holder is adjustable and hugs it nicely. The side pocket is only held close by a small piece of Velcro, but it does have a nice zipper pocket on the back.
So, conclusion, its a good bag, but there are better for less nowadays.
This is the first bag I bought. I got it in the grey urban camo color. The materials are put together well. The putter fold can get pretty tight especially if you have the bag full of discs, so, it can help to take a disc or two out prior to removing, or replacing the putter in said fold. It comes with a rather durable strap, and the hardware is plastic. I haven't had to replace or augment the hardware. But, the swivels for the strap squeaks when walking with it, been thinking about applying a little oil or so, maybe quell the squeak. The pockets are great. Make sure to cinch your water bottle, or if you bend to pick something up, your water bottle will fly out. Zippers seem sturdy. I've had the bag for about 8 years now, and I've done well by it. After a while, if you put Sharpie on the cloth to put your name on it. It will fade. The soft cloth on the inside is rather curious, it picks up on grass and other debris fairly quickly.
For what it is, this is a top notch bag. Holds about 8 discs nicely, more than that it feels crowded. Real good quality, easy to carry. My one complaint is that it tips over easy when you put it down.
This was my first bag. I bought it because I was sick of using a drawstring gym bag. The bag holds about 10 or 11 for me and a putter or two in the outside pocket. I think it's a good bag to buy if you want something convenient for a few casual rounds/courses of disc golf.
I bought this bag used when I first started playing disc golf. It has plenty of room for the average beginner, the water bottle holder comfortably holds a 1 liter bottle, and the side pocket is plenty big enough to hold most of your goodies. My one complaint is with the side pocket though. The velcro on mine got it's arse kicked within the first month of owning it, and it was never all that secure to begin with. Fine to stuff a towel or something in but don't put anything valuable in there. That being said, I've owned this bag (again, it was used) for two years, and it is just now starting to fall apart. I had to weave some wire through the water bottle holder to keep it attached a couple weeks ago until I picked out a new bag. Don't let this put you off though! I beat the mess out of this thing! I play multiple rounds almost every day on a pretty rough course (sand dunes and cactus needles!) and it has held up much better than most of my friends' bags. After two years of playing, I'm starting to feel like I need a little more room in my bag, or I'd probably buy another one of these.
TLDR: Super durable! If you're just starting out, or aren't in to carrying a lot of discs, you can't go wrong with this bag.
