The Prodigy X3 is a consistent, very long flying, slightly overstable distance driver designed for all skill levels. The X3 is a great choice for any player looking to throw long, fast, and dependable drives. The X3 is slightly less stable than the X2, giving it a longer glide period in the middle of the flight path, and a softer left to right finish. The X3 matches the X1 and X2 in consistency but exceeds them in turn and glide.

Exceptional disc. Flies just like the numbers and graphic say right out of the box. I am an intermediate player, and this is one of the longest discs in my bag. Straight as an arrow forehand or backhand, with a mild fade and pretty neutral finish. In head wind it will drift right a bit but it won't turn over, you can always trust the c3 to come back. This is my second Prodigy disc and I am very impressed so far, especially with the inconsistency and inaccurate flight numbers coming from some other manufacturer. If you can drive 3000 pick this one up

Another high quality disc that everybody should have in their bag.  I agree with the previous reviews and would add that this is also my longest disc in my bag currently.

The X3 is my go to distance driver. Out of the box it has good turn and fade. I can release it on a slight hyzer angle and get it to flip up to flat for most of the flight before it has good fade at the end. I love this disc because I can trust it with a good amount of power and know that it will not flip over. Now I don't think this is a beginner friendly disc but it would be one of the first distance drivers I suggest  to an intermediate player.

400 plastic 174g, though weighs 178 on my scale at home.

At first throw, it behaved pretty OS - it turned not at all, and even if I put anny on it, it pulled out and faded pretty hard and pretty early. But it looked like it wanted to glide like crazy, and it feels awesome to me in the hand, so I kept at it. After bending it a bunch while watching TV, it's behaving much differently. That's my method of quick break in on these tough Prodigy plastics.

So I'm glad I kept it, and I'm glad I bought it.   The X3 has a similar rim and feel in the hand to the X2. It is low profile and smooth- the X2 and X3 are the best feeling to my forehand of anything I've used- but I rarely forehand, so don't take my word for it.

This is a pretty OS disc, which turns only in a headwind. It's a good headwind disc, but it's a lot of work to get it to fly as far as other discs. I think it is better suited to a true power thrower.  This is true for all the X discs I've tried except maybe the x4, which seems to be the most popular X mold.

I've been throwing this for the better part of a year now. It's become my main control driver, and I own several. They don't fly as fast as the D discs, but I find these more predictable and more forgiving if I turn it over. Distance wise, they're only a bit shorter than the D's for me. Like 10' shorter or less. They are longer than fairways, and, unlike fairways, need to be thrown pretty hard to do their thing.

I own 4 of them, and they are all consistently awesome. I have a light one, which turns more easily and fades later. One flat top, which does not turn unless you put a lot of anny on it. It's a headwind eater, flying straight until it fades out on a flat release. The other two are standard in shape and flight path, meaning they hold the line you put them on, exhibit slight turn, lots of glide and strong forward fade.

    Well.

I dont have huge hands, and the d series is just a touch too big for me, so I wanted to try the X line with their slightly smaller rim width. The 3 stability on Prodigys line has been good to (pa3, f3, h3v2) so I picked up an x3.

Holy masher batman. I havent thrown it a ton because of the nature of my home course being super tight and I take control over distance off the tee. Yesterday I played a monster temp course that was largely wide open, and the x3 was my go to driver.

Thrown hard and flat, it is going to launch into a high speed turn that will track to your arm side for a LONG way before coming back with a strong fade and skip. I parked a number of 375-425' holes with it. Even in the wind and rain, I was able to lay into the X3 and trust it to come on back for me.

It is a situational disc in my bag that is course dependant, but I am not going to be experimenting with the D series at all and am absolutely all set for my open field bomber disc.

The X3 is a very special disc.  I can't give it 5 stars because of how much each disc can vary. First run X3s are a thing of beauty.  Production run X3s may take trying a few to find one that flies like they're supposed to.

X3s out of the box fly dead straight with a strong finish, but not in the same way the X2s do.  Where X2s start to slow and fade realtively early, the X3s keep on gliding. You can really mash into a new X3 and give it some anhyzer and it'll give D2s a run for their money. Season an X3 and you have an easily controlled distance driver that shows the -1/2 flight.

The X series has the chance to become what Prodigy is known for, and the X3 will become the star of the bunch.

Fantastic disc! This is my first Prodigy driver, and I am pleasantly surprised. The stability is very neutral out of the box. My X3 has a nice dome to it and glides for days. I can throw it flat and get a really nice turn with a soft fade back for great distance. I can also throw it on a slight hyzer and get a rope shot. You can probably guess that the anny turnovers are nice too.

The grip is the thing that surprised me the most. It has a noticeably more shallow rim depth compared to your standard drivers on the market, but it's still comfortable. Maybe even a little more comfortable for me. The X3 comes out my hand fantastically. I actually have more trust in this disc to come out how I want it than my other discs. Definitely have more faith in the release of this mold than my other speed 12 discs!

Overall, I am highly impressed by this mold and by Prodigy. I'm looking forward to trying out more of their products.

The X3 is neutral high speed driver. In the hand, it has a lower profile, which could be better for smaller hands. When thrown hard it will flip over but has a consistent fade at the end of the flight. It went as just as far as any of my distance drviers.

I would say that this driver is just another decent distance driver with an new name.

I have been eagerly awaiting this disc after testing out the other X-Series Discs. The X4 is an absolute bomber for me, but I was looking for something that I could go all out on and have a straighter and more dependable flight. To my excitement, the X3 has been just that. Some of the older runs of D2s that I have are considerably straighter than the current run which is more overstable, so I was looking for a disc that would replicate the straighter run D2s flight, and the X3 also fits this as well. For someone who can throw on average 380' this will be an extremely dependable disc and has already earned a spot in my bag.

Prodigy really knocked this one out of the park. I was eagerly awaiting the release of the X3 and when I got my hands on it, it flew just as I expected. If you are looking for a disc you can rip on and expect it to have a straight flight with a dependable fade at the end, the X3 is the perfect disc for you. And with Prodigy's incredible plastic, you cannot go wrong!

I finally got the chance to try out the new Prodigy X3, and it was quite an experience. So when the newer X-Series discs came out, I didn't really see any of Prodigy's advertising for them. I just tested the X-2 and X-4, and because of the way they felt in my hands, I thought they were a smaller rim than the D-Series that was a step slower, especially since they didn't seem to fly as far as I can get the D-Series, which are my go to max distance drivers in my bag. Well, before throwing the X3, it was brought to my attention that the X-Series is actually supposed to be faster and longer than the D-Series, which blew my mind because of my experience testing the X2 and X4. So I went out and tested the X3 and had a similar experience as with the other X discs--The X3 is a fantastic disc that flies well and feels great and is exactly what I expected, but it just didn't fly quite as far as my D3. But, I think I have figured out why this has been my experience. What makes the X-series faster according to Prodigy is the smaller rim height which allows for a faster release. But here was my issue--I don't think my fingers power grip that shorter rim as well as I do the taller D-Series discs. So I think I am able to get more snap on my D-Series discs because of the taller rim. So I might try to mess around with the X-series discs more to see if I can get a better grip on them so I can then maximize their distance potential.

So I guess that wasn't all entirely a review of the X3, but that really does sum up my thougths. It is a great disc that flies great, but at the end of the day at least at this point, I am going to stick with my D-series because of the grip. But I have no hesitation recommending the X3 to anyone!

I'll begin be saying that I can throw high-speed drivers with moderate power. I'm not a complete monster on the drives, but I am consistantly able to get some high-speed discs out to 350-400 feet with the right discs. I'll say that the X3 wasn't one of those right discs. I tested it side-by-side with another new high-speed driver (Daredevil Albatross, if you want to read my review on that one), and despite the somewhat quirky characteristics of the other disc, I consistently landed it at least 20 feet further than the X3.

I was expecting to love the X3 because I really, truly loved the X4, which I guess was understable enough to really fly well for me. The X3 just seemed a bit lack-luster for a guy with my throwing style. It went about as far as most speed-10 discs do for me, and then faded dependably, but apparently prematurely.

I'm not saying the X3 is a bad disc, because it flies well enough. It follows the path you'd expect for a disc with -1 turn and a 2+ fade. It wasn't as overstable as the X2, so I guess it flew as designed. But it seemed like it could be displaced by about a dozen other discs that I already through, for when I want a 250-300 foot flight with a reliable fade.

I'm guessing that for a power thrower, the X3 will be more of a distance beast that they can blast way out onto the fairway, but for me, it was simply humdrum.
