The MX-2 is a torque-resistant, overstable midrange disc with a beadless grip that fits all hand sizes, ensuring easy handling and a smooth release. This disc offers a predictable flight with a consistent fade, making it ideal for forehand throws. The MX Series midranges, including the MX-2, have a smaller diameter and slimmer profile than Prodigy's M Series. The MX-2 offers more glide and a later fade than the M1 and features a more overstable flight with a rounded rim edge compared to the Isaac Robinson Archive.

If you haven't thrown any Prodigy before, the MX-2 is a fantastic starting point! Prodigy is known to have pretty sharp edges on many of their mids and drivers, but the new run of 400 plastic on the MX-2s feels phenomenal! It isn't a super deep midrange either, so forehands feel nicer than some other midranges out there. It is very reliable and the numbers are accurate. It will gently come out of turnover shots for a nice smooth flight if you're looking for that S-shape type of shot. This is for sure one to try out if your looking for an overstable mid!

The mx-2 is a solid overstable midrange, nice and beefy.  I've found that some of the mids that have similar flight numbers to the mx-2 end up not being as overstable as advertised.  The mx-2's flight numbers are spot-on, it is a very overstable mid with no turn and enough stability to fight out of most flex shots.  It has a rounded and somewhat bulky rim which I find comfortable, I've been throwing it more for backhands but it flies well for forehand throws too.  The disc is verging on that utility overstable mid slot, like a Justice or mx-1, it's pretty dumpy and has a strong fade.  To me it seems more overstable than the M1, it's a good option if you are looking for a very overstable mid.

This is a super underated disc from Prodigy. An overstable midrange that can handle a lot of torque for both backhand and sidearm? Sign me up. Great for drives off the tee, approaches where my Zone isn't going to quite get there, and where this disc shines is in the wind. Faster and more glidey than an A2, this really covers a unique slot in the bag that I think is crucial to my game. I used to bag the Pyro for this slot, but the sidearm handfeel of the MX-2 and the accessability of this mold makes it way more appealing to me.

Whenever I see a middy with the same flight numbers I doubt if it's really going ot fly as advertised and MX-2 delivers. It's very reminiscent of the Zone in feel, but it's faster and shallower and goes a little further. I would compare this disc to the Pyro, MD4 and the Swarm would be the best comparisons for modern molds in terms of flight, but I think the best comparison would be the first run Mortars in both flight and handfeel. IYKYK.
