The Hyperion is an overstable driver from Ozone Discs. It has high-speed capabilities and reliable stability, thus the Hyperion can be used as a go-to driver in all situations. The disc is equally reliable for forehand and backhand shots.

My Flight Ratings: 11/3/0/4 Terrible for Beginners Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

It's hard to give a disc a 1 Star rating, but when the disc is so painful to throw (as in literally too uncomfortable as it releases from your hand) that you can't finish a tester round with it, that's what it deserves. They Hydro M is just another massively overstable utility driver. The one thing that sets it aside from all the other meathook discs out there is that it has a really sharp edge that hurts my hand to throw, especially on forehand releases. Unless you love Ozone discs and aren't bothered by sharp bottom rims, I don't recommend this disc for anyone.

My Flight Ratings: 10/3/0/4 Not Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

First of all, I really like the feel of Hydro M plastic. It is somewhat flexible while also being durable. I would compare it to a GStar plastic, or close to the feel of some Kastaplast premium plastics. I also like the flight of the Hyperion, which is certainly an overstable driver in my hands. I couldn't keep it going straight for very far before it would make a sharp fade. For me, this disc would not fall into a category of a distance bomber, but more along the lines of an overstable utility disc when I need a big hyzer-line around or over objects.

The downside for me, which kept it from getting top ratings, is the somewhat sharp edge on the bottom of the rim. Since I primarily through backhand, the release was a little uncomfortable on my fingers. If I were using the disc on every hole, I imagine I'd grow weary of that sharp edge. But as a utility disc coming out of the bag for very specific shots where a decisive fade is needed, I could handle that sharp edge now and then.

While I'm not a strong forehand thrower, I found the rim more comfortable for forehand flick shots. My buddy, who is much better with the forehand, was getting more distance with forehand than with backhand. The disc is quite flat, which is also a plus for forehand throwers in most cases. It slices through the air at a high speed and when it fades, it does it dramatically. I give the Hyperion four stars as a useful utility disc, recommended more for forehand and power throwers, but certainly NOT for beginners.
