The Spin is a putter that MVP described as "an understable putter that will debut in the 2016 Circuit Event Series.  It has a deep profile like the Ion and Anode, which makes it great for glide-filled lofty flights.  Its controlled understability makes it suitable for both new and advanced players alike.

I bag the MVP Spin in Electron plastic as a utility putter for anhyzer putts & drives to get around obstacles on the green or fairway. It’s a get-me-out-of-trouble disc. Those times when I remove the Spin from my main bag to make space for other discs, I find myself adding it back in a few rounds later because I missed it. The Spin also works well for hyzer flip-to-flat throws for straight or turn flights through tight woods. I have recently received a Spin in Neutron plastic and look forward to exploring the flights of the Spin in that plastic.

I'm still very much working on my putting style and trying to pair the right putter with it, but I have really been likign the spin. I'm not the fastest putter and it seems like most popular putters are a 0/1 (turn/fade) but I was looking for an understable putter that I could use that would help me keep my put a bit straigher. The Spin does that for me--I'm still working on my putt, but I feel like I can putt right at the basket and with the initial turn, I can trust it to level out and stay straight. So if you are looking for a understable putter to use for putting, I'd give this a try. It feels really comfortable in the hand as well.

I haven't used it much as a throwing putter although when I have, it throws like a slightly understable Mako3 that I have.

A banana-colored Spin ("Spinana") has become my secret weapon for circle 2 putts. I still love the reliability of my Axiom Proxy for most shorter putts, but the extra glide and understable flight pattern of the Spin hits chains more consistently for me from deep inside the second circle or on long uphill putts.

After a few days of head-to-head comparisons against my collection of Proxies and several other understable putters (EV-7 Mobius, Streamline Pilot, and Discraft Fierce), I ordered four more yellow Spins.  It was the clear winner. Plus, there's nothing more fun than watching my friends roll their eyes when I celebrate a miracle putt by singing "My Spinana" to the tune of The Knack's "My Sharona."

I love this disc for backhand upshots and putting. It has a somewhat deep rim which I find very comfortable. It has very reliable turn and a great disc to throw for shorter shots in a tailwind. One of my favorites for sure!

unique feel in the hand I believe its based around the same core as the ion due to the curve at the top of the sidewalls of the inside rim. when thrown hard it will flip but needs to be thrown with enough speed or it will stand up and hyzer out. If you throw the disc flat stand still it is very straight with a small bit of hyzer. I particularly like this disc in a tail wind situation. I can throw it on a hyzer flip high in the wind to a little over 300'. I think its a good stability for a beginner but the unique feel makes me think it may be better to start with a more traditionally shaped putter.

I picked the Spin up because Sarah Hokum uses it a lot and I was curious. Normally I use an Electron Matrix for shots that I need a nice easy turn the whole way, but the Matrix is no good for short shots because of the speed necessary to get that turn.

This is where the Spin comes in. I have an Electron plastic version but I want to get a Neutron or Proton because as we all know, Electron plastic gets beat up really fast. I also find the Electron spin to turn hard.

With that said, even though the Spin turns hard, it is super consistent so as soon as you figure out how it works with various hyzer flip throws at various speeds the Spin could quickly turn into your go-to disc for anything under 200' that needs a nice turning glide.

One of the things I just LOVE about this disc is that even though it has a big turn (I mean, why else by this disc?) when it's turning it doesn't dive. It's a FLAT turn so when it lands you dont' have to worry about it rolling away, it just glides in and lands flat.

I can't wait to get a max weight Proton version of this disc, but for now the Electron version will work great.

My favorite shots with this disc are when I need a nice even turn and don't want to use my sidearm. Thrown flat the disc turns immediately, thrown on hyzer it will slowly flip over and keep turning. Thrown on max hyzer it will flip up and glide perfectly straight. Perfect for tree courses and those short lines where higher speed discs and sidearm shots won't work.

Beginners will love this disc because they won't have to worry so much about it fading out after 50'.

I love this disc! I use it for up shots and short drives in the woods. It's so versatile and has reliable turn. Everyone could use a hyzer flip putter shot in their repertoire, and this is the disc to do it with.

I didn't like it at all when I first got I but got used to it through time. Great grip, like advertised. It might take some getting used to but when you do get used to it, it is a great all-around putter.

10/10. Very good beginner disc too

I got this in the grippy Electron plastic for putting. I use it for push putts. Due to push putting's low spin speed it minimises the fade and makes it an easy up and down straight putt within 6-10m.

After trying a couple of different putters I stopped my search with the Spin. This has taken strokes off my game. I'm talking double digits. I used to be a horrible putter unless I was 3m (10ft) away or less. After getting this disc I managed to learn push putting and now I never miss within 6m (20ft) and am about 50/50 up to 10m (32ft).

The Electron plastic is perfect for putting and is even grippy when its a bit wet.

If I have a drive that requires a slow right curving shot then I pull this out too, released with a lot of power and a bit of a hyzer angle it will flip up then cruise to the right all the way to the ground, with a surprising amount of glide. While push putting I'd rate it a glide of 3, while driving I'd rate it as 5. So 4 is a good middle ground.

    Pros:
    Tonnes of glide
    Consistent, predictable turn
Almost no fade unless at very low speeds
    Cons:
Untrustworthy in the wind, if it's windy I'll normally swap to a mid range and try to spin putt it in.

    Electron 175.

I am a spin putter and as such favor understable putters. I currently putt with SSS Magics. I like have liked other MVP/Axiom discs so I decided to try out the spin. My first impression of the disc was in the hand feel. It is deeper than most of the putters I've enjoyed and the disc is rounded on the inner rim making for uncomfortable hand placement for both my FH and BH grip. In putting practice this disc flew very true inside the circle and out to about 40ft. It takes snap pretty well on putts and holds the straight line at putting speeds throughout. I didn't notice fade at all until I got outside the circle. Also worked very well for 50-60 foot jumpers if pulled through with a slight touch of hyzer. Even at that distance I was simply aiming at the band slightly left side of the pole. So as far as it's accuracy was concerned it performed well. I did find it to be a bit nose angle sensitive if off at all it would lift significantly and fade out on longer runs. It performed best with a slightest nose-up releases. To mention again, the hand feel of this disc is off. I attribute a lot of my missed putts to having to change my putting grip to accomidate the disc. If you don't have a putter you're comfortable with yet then this probably won't affect you as much.

As far as a throwing putter I noticed first was excellent glide. A nice neutral flight out to 150ft. Anything after that the understability of the disc was really evident. Thrown side by side with my magic at 200ft it was still ending further right. I attribute a lot of that to MVP overmold that helps lock the disc to an angle once spinning. Hyzerflips well inspite of the overmold but that is to be expected out an understable putter. It will hold the softest of hyzers but there are better discs for that. I wouldn't trust anny lines to be honest, understable enough thrown flat.

Despite the undertability I was genuinely impressed by the disc on touch FH shots. As long as I just snapped it out of the hand, no arm required, It would hold most turnover lines with smooth, flat landings. Even hyzer flip to flat with a fade, no problem. I did have to tell myself "spin not speed" before throws but if that's your natural toss or you have an ultimate background I could see this working well. This could also be great for any newer player as a regular thrower, whether off the tee, in the fairway or putting.

Overall I thought it was a serviceable as both a putter and a utility understable thrower. Certainly capable of some really nice flights. I honestly just couldn't get past the feel of this disc. The bulk is fine but that rounded inner rim was disturbing. I honestly felt that I had to crack the last digit of my pinkie to get comfortable holding it. Putting is all confidence and anything that interrupts it’s a no go for me. So I chalked it up to a good disc that might be great for someone else. I'd suggest trying to find one in store and feel it up before you buy, then come back here and get the sweet infinite price ;). Shameless.

    4/5

This putter ties for my first favorite along with the DGA Blunt Gumbputt. It’s smooth, comfortable and predictable, only drawback is it’s really unpredictable in the wind at 171g. I “spush” putt primarily, but am developing an accurate spin putt; I find the MVP Spin certainly lives up to its namesake.

Flat, spinning releases work best with this putter. It flies surprisingly straight at most putting distances, gets a little more understable curve at upshot distances, but its fade is pretty predictable. I probably won’t switch weight, but do want to try this one in other plastics, as the Electron is prone to warping. Hot water resets work well enough, but it still happens frequently. The Electron grip is unbelievable, though—definitely bag one, at least for upshots.

I gave away my spin to my friend who needed a new putter after loosing his, and when I say this do not take it as me not liking this disc. No, quite the opposite in fact. I really like this putter, it just didn't do anything new for me that I didn't already have covered in my bag. My buddy however, has quickly grown to love this disc and uses it anywhere from in the circle spin puts to 150ft approach shots. It serves him really well and fits his putting style perfect. When ever we play and he ends up draining an amazing put to take a stroke on me I deep down inside kind of regret giving him the disc. The glide is fantastic and its very dependable. I have said it before and I will say it again, if you have never tried putting with a MVP brand putter you are missing out!

This putter is great in the wind, can travel downrange about 100-125 feet straight and has good S-turn abilities. I use this and the Soft Envy for my putting needs, you will not be unhappy with the investment...

Love this disc.  Was referred to it by a friend and I'm sure glad he did.  For me, this disc had great glide, went further than expected, and goes very straight when released flat.  Great understable disc, one easily managed within 150 feet or so.  Will hold that right-side line (RHBH).

LOVE THIS DISC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it flies just as i expected with a nice right fade throughout the flight.  If you're looking for a putter that can easily hold a right line, then i strongly recommend this putter. For MVP/Axiom throwers, this is a nice, understable putter.

I've been searching for a good US mid for some time. I've found some that are wonderful if I need a slight turn or straight shot. None of them had what it takes for a sharp turn, though (for I am old school and don't have a developed forehand). I picked up a Spin to try out and have been mighty pleased with it.

It's easy to put this disc on a straight line, where it flies straight and drops to earth without fading in any significant fashion. It's easy to keep it on straight lines without worry of it fading into trouble on the side.

Where it shines is holding onto turning lines. It will hold gentle turns all the way to the ground. More importantly (for me, anyway), it'll hold tight turns all the way to the ground. I've yet to have the Spin fight a turn and swing wide into trees on the outside of a corner.

This disc flies very similar to the Discraft Magnet. Very understable at high speed, stable inside the circle. The electron plastic has a strange feel, chalky but not flexible. It is stiffer than the proton plastic, which was unexpected. The Circuit version of this disc is the medium electron plastic, with soft and hard electron plastics supposedly on the way. I honestly can't expect any plastic stiffer than this. This disc uses the same deep dish core as the Anode and Ion, which may be too deep for some. The overmold is new and is in MVPs 10 mm class (think speed 2) , like the Atom. The Ion and Anode are 11 mm class putters, basically speed 3. It has excellent glide, gliding past the basket several times at my local Circuit event. On the whole this is an eaxcellent addition to MVPs line up.  Now they just need a very overstable approach disc like the Westside Harp.  Are you listening MVP?

This is an interesting disc. At first I thought that this disc was pretty cool. The grip on this disc is different, it is very deep. The rim is pretty thick, and very rounded. This plastic does have a good grip.

I started turbo putting with the Spin, and it seemed pretty solid. As time got on it seemed to get a little unpredictable. I think that the glide on this disc affected its flight path differently almost every throw. Needless to say the Spin doesn't really work all that well turbo putting.

I tried a push putt style with the Spin. I didn't like how it flew all that well either.

Overall I didn't really like this disc all that much.

Initially, I didn't like the feel of the MVP spin. The outer edge if this disc just feels different than the putters that I'm used too. But, I hit long putt after long putt with the Spin at my MVP Circuit and actually ended up shooting my personal best (with only Circuit discs) at one of my primary courses. I hit three outside the circle putts with the spin, and love its ability to just stay straight at the target without fading much at all.

I love MVP Electron plastic, and the Electron Ion is one of my favorite putters. If you like Gyro technology and are lookiing for a putt and approach disc with a different feel, give the MVP Spin a spin.

This is a great putter that just holds a straight line wonderfully.  I really like the deep lip with the rounded edge inside and the superior grip.  This is very easy to get used to and do well even if you aren't familiar with it.  I find that I throw it well from 75 feet or less, but some people can use it beyond that well enough also.
