The Servo is a super straight-flying disc that’s easy to control. While the original MVP drivers (Volt, Shock, Amp) are classified as speed 8-9 drivers, the Servo is more similar to the Resistor with a 1.7 cm wing and a speed rating of 6.5. According to MVP: “The Servo is a straight-stable fairway driver with a low power requirement and controlled speed. Its extended GYRO™ push gives it less lateral movement and immense glide with an effortless forward fade. Both high and low power throwers alike will achieve easy pinpoint accuracy with ultimate control to make it one of their most used discs on the fairway.”

This review is for the Plasma plastic specifically.

I'm relatively new and was looking for lower speed discs to develop my form when I found a max weight Servo second-hand. It was already a little beat-in and has a great, shallow turn when thrown flat at high speed, but not so much that it will flip over all the way into a turnover. The fade is incredibly reliable, and every shot I've thrown backhand has come back to level at the end of flight, even when put on an anhyzer angle making it great for long flex shots. It is also stable enough for low-speed forehand flick-shots, but cranking on it too hard will cause it to turn-and-burn.

Overall a great disc for controlled shot-shaping off the teepad or on the fairway.

This is a fantastic disc. I use it for Backhand drives in small spaces. The numbers are fairly accurate, and the disc feels good in my hand. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking for a fairway driver.

Magnificent disc, probably one of my most used actually. I throw RHBH I use it on straight, left and right fairways. You can really overpower/overthrow this disc and it will take it- it won't get too flippy.

The Plasma Servo is a great workhorse fairway driver. Out of the box, it flies like a beat in Teebird. Thrown hard, there's some slow smooth turn before a gentle fade back to the center of the fairway. Powered down or for newer players, there's a long straight flight with a reliable forward pushing fade. As an added bonus, the Servos I've owned have all had a nice flat top and low profile that's comfortable for both backhand and forehand throws. I'd recommend this disc to anyone looking for a controllable flight and the ability to shape lines at a distance longer than your midranges.

The servo is a great workhorse fairway driver. It says it is a speed 7 but I feel like I throw this thing just as far as a lot of speed 9 fairway drivers. That may be due to the overmold adding some extra spin to it and making it fly a little further. But boy is this disc a fun option for many people's workhorse straight fairway. It honestly reminds me a lot of my undertakes from discraft when they were right out of the box. It will hold most angles you throw it on if you throw it with enough power. There is a consistent fade when you get it new and I feel like once this disc beats in a little you will have a super straight flying fairway driver. The plasma plastic feels a lot like titanium and star to me kinda the middle of the two. Which is really nice, I find myself really enjoying most of the MVP plastics. It is grippy enough and feels like it will hold up quite well. I really like the servo but it only got 4 stars because I couldn't bump any of my undertakers. If you want a controllable fairway driver and you want to get an MVP one I think the servo is a must have. It will do all you can ask of it and newer players that understand how to throw with decent form will be able to utilize this discs full potential. Even intermediate to advanced players may find a place for this disc in their bags.

I believe the Servo is one of the most under-appreciated discs in the Gyro lineup.  It's a very straight-flying fairway driver great for navigating tight tunnels.  It flies like a relatively beat-in Teebird right out of the box.  When thrown flat at lower power, it flies straight, turns a bit, then fades out landing slightly left of the line it was thrown on.  This isn't a disc I reach for often, but there are a few hole at courses nearby which I'm able to park with this disc off the tee.

When I got this disc, it was instantly my favorite. Great for long tunnel shots and the plasma plastic feels amazing. I've found it to be a bit of an awkward stability now that it's somewhat beaten in.

My 167g Plasma Servo flies just like my 168g Star Leopard. The only difference is that the Servo has a sharper edge, so if the ground is soft it will dig into the ground and stop instead of skipping or rolling. Definitely not a bad disc, but I'll have to season it a little more before it will give me the easy turnovers I expected out of it. Until then, I'm just using this disc for tee shots that I want to throw as straight as possible, especially if I need to hit a gap.

This is the easiest to control fairway driver I have ever used. I can hyzer flip it, throw it straight, throw it high with hyzer so it holds, anhyzer, and get good distance as well. I thougth the volt would be my go to but not after I threw a 165 plasma servo. I picked up and 170 neutron recently and will post an update on the flight differences, I suppose it will be substantially more stable.

update: neutron servo is more stable for sure. I would trust it into a slight headwind more than my plasma. Harder to get the high speed turn and has a little more fade.

To begin, the servo plasma is a very good beginner disc. I acquired my servo through an Axiom vs. Mvp event, along with the vertex and particle putter. The servo is a very easy disc to control and manipulate. Throwing the disc flat will get you the flight numbers listed for the disc, but when i threw it it had a little more turn than what is listed for the disc, slightly more understable. When you put a lot of hyzer on it, it will keep that hyzer line but will flip up a little bit. I can throw this disc in tight fairways and get the desired result i want. Now that i have advanced a little bit im not getting those results anymore and looking for a new fairway driver. I gave the disc to my little brother for one of his first beginner discs and he is getting close to 300. The glide is great, it has just enough turn to get some good distance out of it and overall a solid disc for anyone.

I carry a Plasma Servo at 165g to use as my fairway flick disc as a primarly RHBH player, and I absolutely love it for that. It is super flat so it's very easy to release nice and flat. I get it out to about 300ft. With my mediocre (at best) form I see a bit more turn than the -1, but it is by no means flippy, and always has a solid, penetrating fade back onto the target line. It does also work well as a backhand disc for me, and is great for skip shots. This disc is great overall for shaping multiple lines. Throw it flat for a long straight flight (mild turn, especially as it breaks in) with a good solid fade, anny release for a long turn over that comes back a bit, or a nice hyzer release that will hold and land with good skip.

I received this disc as part of the MVP vs Axiom challenge set. I had never owned or really even thrown a gyro disc before this challenge. Luckily I had 20 minutes to play a few holes before the round started, upon first throw with this disc I was in love. Once the round started, I birdied the first 3 holes in a row driving with the Servo, literally placing it beneath the basket.

This disc kicked the star leopard 3 from my bag. The plasma plastic is nice on the thumb and the very flat design of most MVP discs including the Servo is just more reliable in the constant Kansas winds than the domier Leo3. Because this disc is a notch more overstable than a leo3 or FD, it is able to cover a wider array of shots for me. I can throw hyzer flips that stand up and go dead straight, or I can throw hyzer flips harder that go right for a bit then have a sure fade back. For me, thrown flat this disc will stay flat for a bit, start slowly turning right, and then 90% of the time fade back with that signature gyro penetrating fade.

This is one of three discs that sits in the 'go-to' pocket on top of my bag along with my putting putter. I reach for it so often I just couldn't be bothered to actually put it in the main compartment so much. If you're looking for a more reliable leo3 type of disc, or you're a beginner looking to step up from putters and mids; you should give the plasma servo a try.

When the shot is just outside my max mid range, I grab this disc almost 100% of the time.  Very controllable with reliable fade and easy distance.  At this point of my game, I am in love with this disc.
