The Slim is an understable putt & approach mold with high glide. It is capable of a variety of shots. New players will find that the minimal fade and high glide make this an easy, straight-flying disc. More experienced players will find a touch utility disc, easily capable of a variety of turnover lines.

    Prominent Soft Details

The Prominent Soft plastic is a premium plastic blend that is also flexible. Though it is flexible it holds its form quite well. After bending it, you'll find it will rebound back to normal quickly. This is a grippy and durable plastic blend.

Fun, fun, fun. This is a disc for courses that are too easy for you and you want to find some lines you couldn't think of with your regular discs.

This disc is marketed as an approach disc, it isn't good at that. This disc is way too slim and understable for being an approach disc, speed control is very hard with this disc, it goes far. But I like it as an extreme turnover or extreme hyzer flip that continues to go over, it can do lines that no other disc can. I would say that its like a more flippy Sol, the speed isn't 2 for the Slim its more like 4.

I love the plastic, very gummy and can take a beating.

I bought this disc hoping that it might earn a spot in my bag for putting from beyond the 45-50 foot range. I'm currently relying on an MVP Spin within that range, but still struggling to get any real consistency so I was optimistic that the Slim's low profile design, slow speed, high glide and understable flight pattern might help it become my secret weapon from within the second circle.

When the disc arrived, I was surprised by its extra large diameter and overly-floppy softness.  It's the most flexible/bendable disc I've ever felt beyond those discs used exclusively for dog toys. On the course, its not nearly as understable as expected when tossed at putting speeds and it tends to fade out similar to other putters from beyond the 50-foot range. It also has a tendency to get on its edge and roll forever in the wrong direction, which is hardly ideal for a long putter. When thrown any faster than putting speeds, the Slim is incredibly understable and clearly lives up to its flight ratings.

I can't use the Slim for the reason I had hoped, and with the MVP Spin, I don't have a place in my bag for a super understable slow speed approach disc so now I'm hoping my kids might be able to use it when we play together. If not, then it will get relegated to the unfortunate role of a dog toy. My doodles will undoubtedly be huge fans of the Slim.

UPDATE: After breaking it in on our local lava rock a little longer, I'd say the Slim is a bit of a straighter long distance putter than my original review suggested. It's thin profile is pretty helpful for point and shoot distances deep into or just outside the second circle where I might have been previously tempted to softly lay up with a Buzzz instead. I'm also using it more than expected on shorter 250 foot anhyzer approach shots where the thinner profile leaves my hand a little cleaner than the MVP Spin.

A wonderful putter for those who like understability. From a putting stance, with a touch of hyzer, this thing will ride straight for a country mile. Prominent Soft plastic ensures a grippy finish that will snag chains at high speed, and turn glancing blows from wash outs to hole-ins.

Dont let the discs speed of two stop you from taking this out on the tee box however. The disc feels nice in the hand, and can withstand high power throws with ease. Add a typically unhealthy amount of hyzer and let it flip itself up and over, gently gliding anhyzer until finish. In wooded courses, where a straight line is needed, this disc can get it done on any hole falling short of 300 feet, with it's extremely soft plastic ensuring your disc stays within a few feet of where it landed.

All in all, a fantastic disc, one of my favorites. I always know what it will do, and I'll reach for it if I need a short and tight anyhyzer, or a long narrow fairway needs conquering.
