The Alpha is the first disc released by Mint Discs. It is a versatile fairway driver that works for a variety of different situations. This is a true power fairway driver designed to go straight without turning over and then finishing with a reliable fade. This disc is stable enough that it can fight headwinds, but not so overstable that it can't be thrown by newer disc golfers.

    Apex Details

Apex plastic is a premium blend designed for optimal grip. This plastic is similar to Streamline Neutron or Innova Star plastic.  While Apex plastic may not be as durable as Eternal, it has a great feel and tends to provide outstanding glide.

I bag a sublime and apex alpha, and love them both. First off, anyone saying they turn it over on forehand is just a wrist roller or bad releaser. They are great forehand discs and can face forceover forehands like a champ! My apex one flies a bit more stable than my sexton firebird but has a great pushing fade which has opened up 400+ft straight shots in my fairway lineup. My sublime one falls just under the sexton firebird in stability but has so much glide ( like a good optox explorer). I highly recommend anyone who wants a firebird flight that goes 50 ft further to pick up an apex alpha

I had been reading about Alpha's from Mint Disc for some time now. This is a slot I have been needing to fill in my bag and the Apex Alpha filled it perfectly. Backhand the disc hits the line with amazing accuracy and fades at the end. Where I tend to use this disc even more is forehand. This is the best flick disc I have ever had and love to put this on a nice line and let it fade in from the forehand. It is so reliable. I will be grabbing more Alpha's.  Looking forward to seeing what else Mint comes out with.

This disc is the ultimate workhorse in my bag! About as evenly stable as they get when it comes to fairway drivers. I keep it as a less stable cousin to my harder plastic spark and thunderbirds, so as not to carry an extra of each. Rliably straight with slight fade when thrown flat. Can put it on anhyzer and trust it will finish straight. I LOVE MINT DISCS!

    Purple, 2nd run

This is my current distance driver.  What I love about the company is their flight chart. The colors make a difference and they list out exactly how each run and color flies like.  The apex plastic is a bit softer than the Eternal but still firm.  Excellent grip.  Probably the most underrated disc on the market right now.  These are more controllable Thunderbirds for 350' & <  arms.

BUY ONE OF THESE. Seriously, just do it. I never really connected with the Teebird for some reason. For my straight fairway slot I was previously throwing a Star Valkyrie, then a C line CD2. Both were great, but they were missing something and just a bit too understable. I'd say the Alpha is a more tame PD.

The Alpha has the perfect stability LONG straight flight with a gentle fade. This thing bombs. I can get it out to around 380+ and it still is very accurate at that distance. At lesser speeds and brand new its a little more overstable than the numbers suggest (maybe eagle ish?) but it has beat in to very nice straight flier with just a hint of turn. I'm curious to see how this will wear in with a few more months of use, but as or right now I am loving it.
