The Taurus is an overstable midrange driver that fits perfectly between the Aurora MS and Sentinel MF.

Just like the constellation after which it is named, the Taurus is a beefy, wide-diameter, torque-resistant bull. This beaded, power-mid will sustain lines without turnover and it always finishes strong. Players will depend on this beast's predictable fade and trust its control in a headwind.

The Taurus is the Roc-X, so a Roc with a spacer in it. It is definitely more OS than a Roc, which I really like! The rim is a bit thick for forehand throws, but maybe someone can make good with it. I prefer the Mortar for my OS Mid, but the Taurus could be a close 2nd for me. Everyone should try it to have a reliable midrange in the wind.

For a Roc thrower this disc might just be the best kept secret out there. Why spend all the money for a USDGC champ roc when you can get a Millenium Taurus instead? The Tauruc is a RocX which means it uses the Rancho Roc top but there's a spacer added in the rim. Comparing side by side, it does appear to be a little bit thicker, but I can't really feel this difference in my hand. Quantum plastic is the same as champion so you know it's going to last forever.

On the course, this disc makes for a great overstable compliment to DX or KC Rocs. Throw flat it will fly straight with no turn before hooking up for a sharp left fade (RHBH). I wouldn't consider it a meathook like a Drone or Gator but it will also handle a headwind better than most mids. I'm not much of a flick thrower but I suspect a good forehand player could make great use of this for short to mid range shots.

Awesome mid range disc.  Actually hold straight longer than you would think and can get it to turn over a little as well.  It does fade at the end and had a great feel in your hand!

I was able to try a Taurus out before I even really knew what it was I was throwing. When I picked it up the first thing I thought was, wow, this feels like a Roc in the hand. When I had a chance to give it some throws I found that it flew like a premium Roc, nice a stable. For those of you looking for a premium style Roc disc that will take awhile to beat in, this is the disc for you. The new Quantum plastic that Millennium is using feels great, and seems to be extremely durable. Overall, another great disc from Millennium.

Disc:  Quantum Millennium Taurus First Run - 180 gram

Look & Feel: Even dome from rim to rim, the Taurus has a smooth transition from the top to the rim which is a bit different from the Innova Roc's shoulder. The blunt edge fits my power grip comfortably BH off the tee or for upshots. FH I make use of the Taurus for touch flex upshots only.

The First Run Quantum plastic provides great grip and feel (not extremely stiff) which has softened up with consistent use.

Flight: The Taurus is a slow flying midrange with nice glide that will hold the fade before hitting the ground at an angle, potentially causing a ground skip before coming to rest. Fun to throw hard or soft, I found the Taurus capable of many flight lines and distances. After breaking in, the fade has lessened while the glide has increased by about .5-1. Throwing the Taurus harder than its speed rating, I have not seen any sign of turn in all wind conditions. Distances between 230' and 270' on a backhand.

Impressions & Comparisons: The Millennium Taurus has been a more overstable complement to my various straight->overstable Roc3s/Chariot/KC Roc to produce more drastic flex lines and handle headwind conditions better. Really fun disc to throw hard and has held onto its stability with more use and break in.

The Taurus is basically a RocX as opposed to the RocX3 from Innova (it is manufactured by Innova and actually marked "RX" on the bottom).  Compared to the RocX3, the Taurus is slightly slower, but has more glide due to the lack of the flat top.  It has a similar fade, however the Taurus is more torque resistant, often holding a hyzer where a Rocx3 would pop up flat for me.  I would definitely recommend this disc if you are looking for a mid with more stability than a roc, but less than a gator.
