My Flight Ratings: 13/5/0/3 Not Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 400 Straight Score: Very Overstable

I picked up the Quasar in Sirius plastic, looking for a very fast and overstable driver to "bookend" my distance driver set up.  I had been throwing a Conqueror in this spot, which is very overstable and has pretty good glide, but I was looking for something faster that gets more distance but still has a very strong finish.  I'm really impressed with the Quasar.  For such an overstable disc it really bombs, it has very good glide and is very fast cutting through the air.  It has a strong fade which helps it fight out of most anhyzer angles, and it tends to finish with a big forward-pushing skip.  I don't think its the most overstable 12 or 13 speed out there, there are a few other utility type discs that are beefier (like the Conqueror, PD2, Adder etc).  But the Quasars combination of speed, glide and overstability make it a great distance driver for me.  It does have a wide rim but I don't mind it, it feels good for both backhand and forehand.  I may pick up one in the Quantum plastic to see if those fly even more overstable.

Image the feel of a Boss in your hand, but the stability of a Max or an Ape. I know the Boss is already OS, but the Quasar is MUCH more. If you use this disc expecting it to dump left at the end, you'll like this disc. Make no mistake, it goes far...VERY VERY far. It will just fight out of every single angle you force it on to just land left. It is great for spike hyzers where you are trying to get up and over things. It will fly upwards forever. Would recommend it just to try out, but this isn't something you need to start playing disc golf.

The Quasar is a wide rimmed distance driver from Millennium. I am not a huge fan of the feel of super wide rimmed drivers, and this disc was uncomfortable to me. I just feel like I lack control with it. This is a very fast disc that is going to require some serious power to get it up to speed. It was really overstable for me, and I couldn't really do much with this disc. I can see where those with the power would really click with this disc, but not the disc for me.
