This is the Omega disc designed to help you lay up next to the basket. The AP (Approach Disc) flies even straighter than the Omega Super Soft, and has a sharp rim to minimize sliding overshots. This disc comes in a soft blend of Millennium Standard plastic.

I've been throwing Pures for a couple of months now and got the AP to complete my Millennium collection. Really happy that it throws so much like the Opto Pure. Very similar profile except the AP has a bead that is pretty sharp to begin with. I'm sure it will soften up with use. I've grouped them together and they seem to fly the same up to at least 40ft as far as I can tell. It's a point and shoot not a layup disc. Only fades as much as you give it. Really nice.

    Certain Molds were Excellent

150g millineum plastic, some were a bit grippy, my favorite.  this disc in the 150 is the perfect catch and throw disc at 200 feet.  Easy and Accurate for touch shots in Disc Golf.  i gave all of mine to beginners i taught to play, ( no good deed unpunished )   Agree with Alan's review. some manufacturers discs have a nasty sharp edge when new.  i have cut my finger more than once.   3M 320 grit and wet sand away the sharp edge, careful not too much or will make it less stable.

I love the Omega Super Soft, so thought I'd give the AP a try. On initial feel, I didn't like the Omega AP based on its super sharp rim. It was almost uncomfortable in the hand. For actual putting and approach shots though this disc performs well for me. It provides something solid to hold onto and has excellent control. This is also a great disc for when you want to make sure that you don't overshoot the basket. It's slow, has almost no fade, and stops on a dime.
