The Astra is one of the best high speed distance drivers for beginners and intermediate players. For the standard backhand throw, there is a good chance that the Astra will fly farther than any other disc in your bag. This disc turns, glides, and then fades back for an overall stable flight that is just plain farther than other golf discs. The Millennium Astra comes in two different quality plastics. The standard plastic is a quality mid-grade blend that offers an excellent grip in all weather conditions. Quantum plastic is more durable and will maintain flight consistency for longer periods of time.

I had this disc in the base Millennium plastic. 168 grams. Feel and grip were both nice. I actually think this disc was very similar to an Innova Archon. Maybe a modified version, not sure. Innova makes all of Millenniums discs.

Fight I think was pretty spot on with the numbers, the one I had was flat top and was maybe a touch more understable then numbers really? Splitting hairs really. Nice disc, not my favorite though.

The Astra is really a step up in stability from the Aries. If the Aries is too flippy for you, this might be a nice disc to try. It holds a nice straight line, with a little bit of turn when thrown hard. It does have a very subtle fade at the end of the flight. It reminds me a lot of a Tern. For beginners this disc will probably fly pretty stable.

I bought this disc for exactly the reasons in the description; beginner/intermediate friendly, higher speed distance driver. And I have to say, for the first few times I threw it I think I broke my personal best (>300 ft). I would have absolutely given this disc a 5 star rating if it had continued to fly like it did new. Now it just flies so understable that it crashes to the right (RHBH) 200 feet off the tee. I'd like to think I started to throw with higher arm speed, but that's just wishful thinking. I'm convinced the disc changed after it broke in a little. I bought in Millennium Standard plastic. Maybe a different plastic would be better.

I bought this in a search for stable driver in this speed class. It's a solid choice. Out of the box it flies like a more overstable disc, but as it breaks in it's getting more turn. Anyway, this standard plastic is pretty stiff and glides well. It's stll breaking in for me, but I can tell that once it does it will fly as pictured. A net-straight flight with some turn and reliable fade. I can hyzer flip it to fly straight and fade. Flat, it turns a smidge and fades. Anny, it holds the anny for a while then fades. I'm looking forward to having it beat in a bit more. When it does I believe it will be the beez kneez for long distance control at longer-than-fariway-driver.

I lost a disc and decided to try one of these to replace it (surge ss) based on the percentage of very positive reviews. I'm glad I did. After throwing this Astra and a JLS, I'll be considering Millenium for future needs. They seem to fly as rated, which is always a pleasant surprise when ordering discs, and a good reason to choose them over other brands which have given me surprises.

Best an-hyzer disc out there. If you have the room, you can put a suttle anhyzer on this disc, and then watch it hold that line and slowly fall back at the end for a solid 330 around a corner. Great placement disc given the proper room.

Originally I loved my Astra. It was the furthest flying disc for my backhand throws. For forehand throws it would turn and burn, and so didn't work for me. Now it turns over and crashes to the ground on my backhand throws too. Either I get more snap in my throw, or the Astra has become more understable from wear and tear. My Astra was in Millennium Standard plastic and it went the distance.
