Flies like a shorter, glidey teebird for me. I'm taking 90% of my shots with this, a Buzzz, or a Lobster, all in the 250-300ft range on backhand. Holds its own by flying just as far as the other two-rare in an overstable disc-but it will reliably fade whereas my buzzz will hold the straight line forever. Not putting it on anhyzer flex lines because it doesn't like to flex back until it's dumping. Holds up to torque really well. Love this on forehand too, just dead straight until it fades.

The Middy is an awesome midrange, most similar in feel to a Buzzz or Nebula, but with more fade. It's a narrow-diameter, slightly overstable midrange with excellent glide and speed. The Middy feels great in the hand, particularly in Bravo plastic, and takes power and torque like a champ.

Flat profile and good feel in the hand especially for my forehand release. Will travel straight with reliable fade on a flat release and holds the line when released on an angle. Not as much glide as my Ranger

This disc is incredible. It has such a low profile. It has a very shallow rim and a flat top. When thrown flat, it will turn just a bit, then fade, but not dump at the end. It is not the same level of overstability as a zone and others, so true power throwers, as well as strong forehands can turn this disc more than you would expect from the flight numbers. However, for us normal throwers, it has plenty of overstablity to fight even strong headwinds without flipping over on you. I do not bag drivers, as I do not throw far enough for them to give me any more distance than I can get with mids. On a good release, I can get these things about 350'. I bag 4 of these and there are not many tee shots I take that are not with a Middy. It is my favorite disc in my bag. I highly recommend if you are looking for a stable, low profile, flat top max distance midrange.

True beginners will likely find this to be too much disc. It is certainly more overstable than your straight mid of choice, ie buzzz, mako, roc, etc, but it can make for a great, dependable approach disc or a headwind disc for you until you develop the distance to get the full flight out of it. A great disc to grow into that will serve you well in many different ways for years to come.

This is a reliable overstable small diameter midrange. It is not a super far flying disc but it will give you more distance than a harpoon. It is comfortable for both a forehand and a backhand grip. I would say it is slightly less HSS than a harpoon but also has a further fade.

The Middy is a very dependable midrange that is my go-to when a Buzzz is not quite enough, but a Roc3, Malta, or Bobcat is too much. My best comparison would be a slower Explorer or TeeBird.  The plastic feel is much better than Star, Fuzion, etc.

It is comparable to a stiffer G-Star except it is much more durable.

I have an island hole at my local course that is only 300' with a landing area about 30' wide. If the wind is down I throw a Buzzz, but if it's in my face I'm throwing the Middy. If it's blowing hard into my face I'm throwing a Mint Disc Bobcat.

The Middy is great at forehand anhyzers in the woods that will hold that line then pan out. Forehand is okay, but not torque resistant enough to cover up bad form like a Justice will.

My midrange slots for the time being in order from least stable to most stable:

Meteor, Comet, Mint Discs Mustang, Middy, Mint Discs Bobcat, Justice

I have been trying to get the feel for this disc and I think with some work I am clicking with it finally.

The Bravo plastic is second to none. The glow LSD makes is also great, only second to MVP and Kasta.

This disc has LOTS of glide. Out of the box mine will hold anhyzer for most of its flight before a decent fade. Thrown flat and hard it is dead straight with a healthy fade at the end. Mild hyzers work far to the left due to the glide.

I knocked off one star because it seems a lil touchy. But still a great disc for that slot.  Recommend

Throwing Bravo plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

Lone Star has some surprisingly good discs right out of the gate.  The feel of this disc is solid. I like how it feels in my backhand grip and my sidearm grip. Additionally, the Bravo plastic is very nice!

The Middy is a pretty solid midrange. I really enjoy this type of flight path, straight with a almost beefy fade. Not quite as overstable as a Justice or Caiman type disc. This reminds me of a MVP Matrix, or Roc3 type midrange.

Overall I really like throwing this disc. The issue is that I really enjoy my Matrix though. I would recommend this disc to someone, as it is a solid disc.

Love all the Lone Star stuff so far. The Middy is a dependable over stable mid. The Bravo plastic has an awesome look and feel.

The Penny putter in V plastic is my now and forever go to putter.
