The Jackrabbit, from Lone Star Discs, is a putter with a wide bead, flat top, and a well-rounded rim. This is a stable to overstable putt & approach disc. This disc will work well as a headwind putter or a driving putter. It can handle power. This will provide good hyzer lines, spike hyzers, and even some good flex lines. Both Victor 1 and Victor 2 plastics will float in water!

    Victor 2 Details

Victor 2 plastic is a grippy, tacky, medium-firm blend. It is a high quality plastic that is best meant for putting. Victor plastic is the softer version of the Victor plastic series ("Victor" is softer). While manufactured in Texas, it is more comparable to MVP's Electron plastic. Victor 2 plastic floats in water!

Flight and feel of the disc is fantastic. My go to disc when I need something a little more stable than my rhyno without losing out on distnce. My one complaint is the disc warped immensley after a couple rounds; still retained its flight characteristics but the quality of hand feel went down for sure.

    Disc - 175 V2 Jackrabbit

Feel - The jackrabbit is a very interesting feeling putter. It has a very high wing for a slow putter, and has a large bead. It feels as though the wing is almost wider than most putters. The V2 plastic feels great, I would compare it closest to electron from MVP, but there is still a definite difference, but V2 does float!

Flight - The jackrabbit is a very overstable putter. It does not glide much but it does do very well in the wind. Personally, I am not a huge fan of its feel and flight for putting, but I do enjoy it a lot for approaches. It is stable and beats up nicely into a straight with finish baseline plastic throwing putter. It fights the wind for me when it is too windy to use my penny putters and does not deviate much even in strong wind.

Overall - The jackrabbit is a great disc and I would recommend it as a throwing putter to most or a putting putter to those who enjoy glideless, deep putters.

I gave the Victor 2 Jackrabbit a few rounds as my putting putter, and I actually was a pretty big fan - I like the feel of the plastic, the bead, the depth, but the only reason I didn't stick with it is that it didn't have enough glide for me personally. Coming from the Judge and Emac Judge, I am a player that relies heavily on the glide of my putter. In more heavily windy (and cold) conditions - you very well could see the Jackrabbit in my hand!

I like bulky putters. I like putters with a mostly flat top.

The Lone Star Jack Rabbit is one of the bulkiest feeling putters I have ever tried. The first time I put it in my hand I was an immediate fan, it fit perfectly for the way I like to grip my putter, and the first step to making putts is being confident with your grip.

Sure enough, my first few putts with the Jackrabbit were golden. I was so excited I almost convinced myself that I was going to switch to this putter from my long time Myths, but after attempting a few more Myths I discovered that the Jack rabbit is definitely not a very glidey putter, and it is a little too overstable to be able to putt with straight from longer distances out, so I decided to stick with the putter I already have more than a dozen of. Now if Lonestar can make a putter with a similar feel that stays straighter and glides farther, I might just make the permanent switch....

If you're in a putting rutt and are looking for something different, something that is going to change your game around and improve your short range putting percentage, I'd suggest trying out the Lone Star Jack Rabbit as this putter is something different.

    Feel

Plastic feels amazing for a putter. It is squishy. It is soft. It is flexible. It has texture that feels like a tacky (not sticky) type or suede. The rim thicker than most putters and allows my fingers to wrap comfortably around it when using a modified fan grip (pointer and pinky wrapped around rim, interior fingers extended straight toughing bottom of flight plate).

    Flight

The flight rating I would give this is 2-1-0-2.5. It has a very smooth flight and slowly fades left through the last half of the flight. I based this rating on comparing it to my pig. It flies a little slower, same glide, and slightly less stable than my pig (the pig is kind of a meat hook when it is brand new).  This disc lands really soft and the texture grips the ground like Velcro. It actually gets less ground play than my pig does.

    Putting

I am a spin putter. This putter flies straight as an arrow from inside 25 feet. Once you go outside 25 feet, you will need to aim a little to the right of your mark or put a light anhyzer release on it. Before I bought this disc, I would use a Luna for low wind condition putting and a Pig for high wind conditions. This disc does well in low wind and high wind conditions. It is better at catching the chains and staying in the bucket than the Pig or Luna is too. If you hit the cage, it doesn’t ricochet far away from the basket like my other putters do, it kind of stays close and is less likely to take bad roll away from the basket.

    Overall

I am pulling my Luna and Pig out of my bag and replacing them with the Jackrabbit. The most amazingly versatile putter I have ever encountered.

I could write a 5 page essay on how amazing this disc is. I've always been extremely picky with my putters. As soon as I'd bag a new one I'd  be complaining about some aspect of it. This is the first putter I haven't had anything to complain about. The Jack Rabbit in victor2 plastic is everything a beaded putting putter should be. It's very firm yet extremely soft and chalky. My hands seem to be either dry as a bone or sweating and this is the first plastic I've ever felt confident with no matter what the weather or my skin condition is like.
