Saddle up with the Lone Star Disc Growler, partner! This high-speed, understable distance driver is like a wild stallion, blazing down the fairways with speed and control. It's said to be a faster Tumbleweed, or a slightly more overstable Harrier.

The Growler is quite flippy, but it feels good and would fly really far for people with slower arm speeds.

I bought this disc from a local shop in glow plastic. This thing bombs. It's normally a little faster than I would throw, but it flips up/turns, then glides for days before fading out. I'm not a huge Lone Star fan, and I haven't thrown it much, but it has really impressed me in the brief time that it's been in my glow bag.

I actually have mine in the Founders plastic, so the flight may be somewhat different than Alpha or Bravo. My disc is 175g and despite the extra weight it goes just as far as my max distance driver which is a 160g GStar Shryke. Thrown flat with full power it will turn every bit of that -3 HST, but still come back a little. That is not how you're supposed to throw the Growler though. It wants to be hyzerflipped. That is where you'll see it shine. For average players like me who max out at 370' it is a great understable driver and I believe that is the market it's intended for.

I took the Growler out to field test it against 1 ESP Proto Hades, 3 ESP Hades, 2 Star Shrykes, 1 Fuzion Burst Captain, and 1 VIP Sorcerer. It outdrove them all except the 160g GStar Shryke (it was even it), but I noticed it had more high speed turn and a harder low speed fade than the Shryke also. Time and time again the GStar Shryke and Growler were 20-30' further than the other discs.

If I had to compare the feel and flight I would say it feels and flies like a longer Katana. Founders plastic is fantastic with a little bit more firm feel than Alpha, but not as gummy as Bravo.  Founders also takes a long time to break in as well.

Got this disc thinking that it was going to be what I wanted from the Harrier, something that would go far, with some turn and a little fade.

The Growler got it right. I played Timber park in Estacada, OR with it and it was what I threw off the tee on most drives. This baby was it! Thrown flat or with baby hyzer it would hold straight, give me that turn and come back at the end. Didnt get any unintentional rollers, and that's what I appreciates about this disc.
