The Lone Star Disc Artemis is a putt & approach disc, great for all skill levels. This mold will fly with control but always gives a solid fade at the end of its flight. It has a moderately shallow rim with a slightly domey top.

The Artemis is a very nice feeling shallow beadless approach disc. It is slightly shallower and tighter feeling than the Zone. Its OS, but not quite as OS as a Zone. In the Lone Star lineup of 4 speed discs it would sit between the Harpoon and Horny Toad, the Harpoon being slightly OS and the Horny Toad being an absolute beef cake. The Artemis on a flat backhand throw will fly basically dead straight for 80 or more percent of its flight before starting a strong fade. Its great at long hyzers, and on anny shots it will straighten out but may or may not flex back depending on how extreme your anhyzer angle is. On forehand throws it hyzer flips up from slight hyzer angles nicely for straight line shots. Its a great Zone type disc if what you are looking for is something slightly less OS than your usual premium plastic Zone.

Definitely one of the best molds by Lone Star. It feels good in the hand---not too deep or shallow, no weird bead--and has a predictable overstable flight. If you like the Harpoon, you may like the Artemis even more. I max drivers at about 370. I get an easy 265 out of this p&a. The Bravo plastic sticks it pretty well so there's no big skip. I don't throw Lone Star drivers except for the Warbird and occasionally the Curl, but the Artemis and Harpoon are staples in the bag.
