The Loft Neon has is a unique put-and-approach disc with an intentionally designed "puddle top" flight plate where the top of the outside rim is higher than the center flight plate. It provides for an interesting grip and flight pattern with very little glide.

This is an interesting one. The flight plate of the disc is molded to be extremely concave. This disc could double as your cat's water bowl straight out of the factory. In spite of this strange characteristic, I found the disc to be relatively comfortable both backhand and forehand. It is shallow and beadless. Now for its flight. On hyzers the disc flew like a relatively normal OS approach disc. It did not flip up, but stayed on hyzer the whole flight. Similarly on flat throws it did not turn any but stayed flat until its fade kicked in which was fairly pronounced. On annys this disc can do some strange things. It will ride an anny throw the whole way, never flexing back to fade like one would expect from a Zone or similar disc. That's an interesting twist on your traditional OS approach disc, but truthfully anny flex shots are a great tool to have, and it would suck to not have that shot available to me while playing, and it would be strange to carry another OS approach disc for that one type of shot. But back to the Neon. It doesnt always not come back on those anny throws, but I have a hard time dialing in the angle and power thresholds needed to make it either turn the whole way or straighten out and come back. User error Im sure. Anyway, it also acts a bit strange in the ground play department. Most OS discs skip more than their less OS counterparts due to landing more at an angle, but the concave plate of this disc makes its landings a bit less predictable. Sometimes it skips, sometimes sort of spins and whirls around pretty much right where it landed, other times doesnt move much at all. I dunno, its a very interesting disc. It just doesnt do things the way Im used to, but its uniqueness is undeniable.

The Neon is a super interesting disc to throw. It absolutely has only 1 glide, as you can rip on this thing and it's just going to drop like a brick. I wouldn't quite say it has 3 fade. At least it won't fly that way for mid-level to pro-level players. It has such a straight flight path for the majority of the flight, and is so torque resistant that you can rely on it for those touchy approach shots where going to long could be detrimental.

It also can handle any amount of wind, and won't turn over on you. If you try throwing the Neon upside down, it becomes even more stable, leading to a wide variety of possible shot-shapes. Despite its extremely concave top, it actually wasn't that hard to get a clean release for a forehand or backhand. I would highly recommend trying out this disc, if not for its great flight, then for the novelty of throwing such an interesting disc!
