The Bandit is an excellent straight-flying driver that will provide more distance than the Rival, but doesn’t require as much arm speed as the Cannon or Rampage. Experienced disc golfers will get great distance out of the Bandit when thrown at a slight hyzer angle, while those with slower arm speeds will see great results from flat level throws.

I don’t have any other discs with the identical flight numbers as the Bandit, but in fields tests I compared it with a handful of fairly similar 9-Speed discs (Dynasty, Mantra, Vandal, Bi, and Hu). It seems to bear out its 9/5/-2/1 ratings, yielding a straighter net overall flight than the more stable ones. The Mantra I have (it’s actually my wife’s – in Plume plastic) is a bit beat in, so not a surprise to see that the Bandit exhibited a bit more stability than this disc. The rim shape and profile of the Bandit feel good in the hand and it releases very cleanly. I was very pleased with how it flew for me: the straight flight pattern w/slight fade, and plenty of distance. Someone in the family lost my Ethos Mantra, so the Bandit is probably going to be the replacement for it.
I have several Legacy discs in Icon plastic, and while I haven't had occasion to see them really get tested for durability, the plastic feels good and I hope to find that it has good durability like Star- or S-blend-related grades. I like the swirled, marbleized look of the disc, though the shiny, metallic green stamp against the grays of the disc make the flight numbers kind of hard to read. I do concur with another comment below, that the drivers in Icon plastic can get a bit soft or rubbery if in the heat or direct sunlight for long.

I got this disc in a players pack and didn't really expect to throw it a lot. That was until I decided to throw it in the field one day and found it was the perfect hyzer flip disc for me. I have a fair amount of power so this may not apply to everyone, but when released on a bout 20 degrees of hyzer, this disc will flip over and drift right (rhbh) for the entire flight without ever fading. Works great on those long holes where you need to get right but a forehand doesn't really work.

I have this disc in the icon plastic. Good grip. Similar to Innova star plastic. If its very hot out, the disc can get very "bendy." This disc is my max distance backhand disc. Great for hyzer flip or max distance flex.

I had a flatter Icon Bandit but just couldn't dial it in backhand. I kept turning it over or throwing too high if I tried to hyzer flip it which usually isn't a problem I have. I am sure it was probably a me problem and not the disc because I actually loved it for forehands. Super easy distance and crazy glide. This would be an excellent first driver due to the understability. I only gave this disc three stars because I wasn't that upset when I threw it about 400 feet in the wrong direction and lost it. It just turned and glided forever into the sunset(actually super thick rough).

The only bandit I have ever thrown was extremely pop top. Like strong heartbeat pop top. It was much more overstable than the flight numbers suggested. To me, it felt more like a faster Rival, instead of a faster Patriot. Feel wise, it was comfortable, especially if you like domey discs.

Based on 169g Icon. I initially bought this disc because I needed something to fill the slot from a champion Valkyrie I lost. Initially, it did the job pretty well for 300-330 foot S shots that landed fairly straight. However, it has broken in fairly quickly to be more understable than the Valk ever was. It's a good disc for turnovers that start flat, late turnovers that start on hyzer, flip to straight, and then keep going right, hyzerflips, and rollers.  Feels great in the hand, is fairly flat, and the Icon plastic has lots of grip without getting too gummy. Mine is becoming a little too flippy and unpredictable after a couple seasons in the bag so it may get replaced soon. This is a very good beginner driver as it will give lower powered players a nice straight flight and then become a good turnover/hyzerflip disc when they start throwing harder.

Perfect for slower to medium arm speeds. You can get truly easy distance with this disc, the turn is slow and not exaggerated. Throw this disc with the right amount of power and you can get a true laser beam disc. Throw it a little higher and with power and its the most effortless distance discs you can find. I am waiting for the clear pinnacle run coming up for a more overstable version. Did I mention glide? yes it has all the glide you need. buy it.

The bandit is great.  new it is closer to stable than understable. rip it straight with a little hyzer, it can old an ani before flattening out at end of throw. Very controllable for a borderline understable disc. Some people may not agree but this is what a saint should be with less glide. Its also good for smooth firm flat throws to get you a nice controlled turn.   I like this disc from 285 to 335ft.  This disc is great for rollers to, a lot of people like the mongoose for rollers but i can really get the bandit to flip up and roll straight a long way. Lets not forget the feel of the mold and plastic is great.  Love icon.  I do love pinnacle more so i will be excited if they ever release a run in pinnacle.  I would recommend closer to max weights for control drivers

I like this disc but it wasn't what I thought it would be.  I thought this would be an understable fairway driver what I got was more of a neutral fairway driver.  This disc is excellent when you need a straight shot, it has a little turn and always fades back.  The closest comparison I would make would be a Discmania FD.

I feel like I'm the only one to throw the Bandit who didn't love it. I promise I'm not trying to be contrarion here. I got a Bandit in a recent trade, and was pretty excited to throw something that was advertised as the faster Patriot (which I bag as my understable fairway.)

maybe it's just my throwing style, but I could not dial the Bandit in. It was either too understable when thrown flat or anny, and too stable when flipped on a hyzer. I just couldn't figure the Bandit out. It does have good glide and makes an awesome distance roller disc, but it was just too finicky for me.

Great driver for slower arms that prefer forehard. I've been able to replace my Valks and I can shape shots really. well.

I finally found enough time to test out my Bandit properly. My Icon Bandit is white and 174 grams. Legacy's Icon Plastic isn't my favorite in terms of feel and durability, so I was hesitant about this disc. I'm going to start out with analysis of sidearm throws. I was surprised at how stable this disc was, considering it had a -2 turn.

This disc has amazing distance and is also still controllable because of the surprising amount of stability, allowing the disc to capture a full s curve. Just yesterday, I threw this disc sidearm on a hole with OB right and trees left. The Bandit was high and turning, but it came out of the turn just in time to miss the trees on the left. For backhand throws, this disc flies very straight for me and I don't throw much further than 300'. It also hyzer-flips very well when kept low, but it doesn't flip over. The distance on backhand throws doesn't disappoint, either. For me, this disc is almost the fastest disc in my bag. So far, I have made 3 birdies with the Bandit. This is a great disc for any player, beginner or advanced. I've heard that the disc is more flippy in lighter weights and certain plastic colors.

I really like the Bandit. My disc is 165g in the Icon plastic. For this particular run, the Icon plastic seems a little bit harder than I've seen in Icon plastic before. It's plenty durable though, I nailed a metal pole and couldn't see a scratch on it.

This is a great distance driver for intermediate disc golfers like myself. It has some understable turn, but rarely turns into the ground for me. With some throws I'm able to get perfect straight line drives that hardly fade at all. With higher throws I was able to get some nice high speed turn with a gradual flex back at the end of the flight. For me the flight of the Bandit is really similar to my Innova Roadrunner, although probably not quite as understable. I'd say the flight ratings are right on. If you're a newer player looking for a driver that's easy to get distance with, this one is better than average. 4 Stars.
