My father and I have owned several of these discs ever since I threw one in my local trilogy challenge. Brand new, sure its stable, like most discs above a 9 speed. But this makes it incredibly versatile for power throwers. This fairway driver has more distance potential than any other ive thrown. Its a pocket wraith with an approachable rim for any player to hold. I am currently trying to grab the last few of these gems off ebay because over the years ive had 4 of my close friends bagging this exact mold. Great disc, hope its still being produced somewhere.

The flight numbers are accurate to the Superhero, a 143g control driver in the L64 starter pack. The heavier version apparently flies different. My 14 year old brother has low arm speed and this is his best driver. It reminds me of an Innova Valkyrie near the same weight for beginners. I've tested it with my offhand and get nice flex. The plastic is soft, similar to Innova DX, not Opto.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the -2 that this disc is rated (as of the time of this review) is not accurate. I found my 173 gold line SPZ3 to fly very similar to a max weight undertaker or escape – a category of discs I really enjoy throwing. This disc worked well forehand and backhand, was very easy to learn, and a pleasure to use for my trilogy challenge round. It's a bit fast for a true beginner, but if you're just moving up to that 8 or 9 speed category and looking for something faster and longer than an explorer, this disc can serve you very well. Hopefully they update the flight numbers, because the disparity is tanking infinite's rating and working against an otherwise solid disc.

I have a hatchet and a fury both in opto and this is way more over stable than either of those. I honestly feel like something might be wrong with mine because it flies nothing like those other two.

If I was rating this disc based on the flight numbers than it would get a 2 stars. Since I'm rating it on flight and feel of the disc in the hand it gets 5 stars. Flies like an old run eagle not the new overstable ones. I got it..........it flies like a faster 160G TBird. Don't let the lite weight scare you away easy distance and predictable flight. Also, the less than stellar reviews are based on the flight numbers being Wrong. I agree with Cartoon Sean, LIE!

I used this disc in Gold plastic in the Trilogy Challenge.

During the Trilogy Challenge this was advertised as a glidier Escape clone. Even in Gold plastic, it's more overstable than a stock Lucid Escape. But now they updated the ratings to make it seem LESS stable, and that's just a straight up lie.

Take this as someone who throws a Lucid Escape, Lucid-X Escape, and a Lucid Getaway: This flies like a beat Thunderbird. This flies like a Lucid-X Escape. The flight numbers are definitely not gospel here, which is disappointing for a company that's usually spot-on with their flight patterns.

If you get this in a starter pack, like it's designed, you'll be fine. But if you're looking for a disc to buy by itself, look at the Escape. It's going to be much better.

I have the SPZ3 in both Opto and Goldline plastics from the Trilogy Challenge. First off, the stated numbers for this disc are way off. I do live at elevation which naturally makes discs more overstable but there is no way this disc has a -2 turn. For my admittedly low arm speed, this flies similarly to a Getaway or a Longbowman. It feels fast in the hand and when thrown hard it flies straight with good glide and reliable fade. I've thrown this into some pretty good headwinds and it does not want to flip over. Good disc and definitely has a sport in my bag replacing my Lucid-X Convict for OS, headwind and FH roller shots.
