The Latitude 64 Pearl has become my go-to disc as a beginner, and I'm thrilled with its performance. The perfect under-stability and high glide have significantly improved my soft landing shots, making it a game-changer. Its smooth and controlled and I love having it in my bag. The Pearl's durability ensures it can handle the occasional rough landing. If you're a beginner seeking accuracy and finesse, the Pearl is a fantastic choice that won't disappoint.

Best Mid Range for New Player  - great for touch shot.

Pearl, OPTO plastic, 157g,    Backhand throw

Bought one to find a slow touch shot disc for low ceiling shots.  Found a disc that is SOOO easy to throw.  Perfect for beginner,  downwind, no wind, sneaky shots with low ceiling like trees.  No other disc in my collection ( huge ) can do what this disc does.  all the other discs you have to throw too hard, this disc flies with little effort.

    140g Opto Lat 64 Pearl

Bought one of these for a friend and we threw it around a bit to test it out. If you are looking for a very beginner friendly understable midrange, this is a great disc. If you are a power thrower then look for something that can handle more heat.

The numbers on this disc are very accurate. BUT do NOT throw this flat and hard (or really with more than 60 power and flat) or it will turn and burn immediately. It can handle very little torque, though can take a little more on a hyzer. Also, forget throwing this into a headwind.

Really, this is a finesse disc. It's great for turn shots or gently gliding toward your destination. When thrown dead straight, it has nearly zero fade.

I just wish a disk with this exact flight pattern were available in heavier weights.

For me this disc goes consistently right (RHBH throw)  every time. Pretty nice disc for dog legs to the right or getting out of the rough, but I find it hard to throw accurately beyond just getting around the an obstacle. It can get it around the dog leg, but it isn't easy to park it under a basket. Usually after throwing this disc I wish I had just thrown a putter on an anhyzer angle. This would probably be awesome for someone used to throwing a catch disc, but if you can even throw a more stable disc sorta-straight, it's going to go right.

This was the first mid range I ever bought when I started playing and I don't think I could have picked a better disc. I was able to throw this disc farther than any of my drivers and pretty much threw this exclusively for a long time. This disc is still in my bag as a sky anhyzer disc  and I don't think I will ever take it out because it helped me develop my game so much. If you are a beginner or know one, give them this disc. It's great for kids or really anyone who has low arm speed.

Any beginners out there? This is your first midrange! Congratulations, look no further! It comes in light weights and gives easy consistent approaches for slow arms or beginners. The Latitude Easy-to-throw line is the most innovative of any such line on the market and the Pearl doesn't disappoint. With a speed 4, you don't have to throw hard in order to get a true flight out of it, and it is VERY forgiving if you don't put much spin on the disc anyways. At WORST, this thing will give you a straight flight. This thing doesn't have a bad flight path for beginner arms at all. The only time this disc will have trouble is in wind (any wind at all really) or once you progress past the beginner stages. Any substantial spin on this disc and there's no amount of hyzer that can save it. Make this your generational hand-me-down disc to give to your friends or youngin's who are just learning, then pass it down the next beginner once they grow out of it.

Yup, this disc has it all. Good distance, beautiful "S" flight path, awesome glide and stability! Highly rocommend this for beginners with weaker arms, and even those with strong arms! Personally, I use this disc for flick shots. Very good in slight headwind and crosswind.

I love my pearl.. will do just about anything but works very well on mid length anhysers and long low fade shots, very controllable and tough as nails with good grip.
