I had this disc in Opto at 176 Grams. I can't quite agree with the flight numbers but it was still a great nice flier. I would say -1 turn on the one I had with a 2 fade. So it didn't make my long term bag.

I prefer the Emac Truth better for straight to overtable. It's a little faster but more consistent.

Nice disc but over stable is a joke.  This thing turns over so fast. It will hold a hyzer line but needs to be thrown with touch not with power.

Very nice overstable midrange disc here. The Pain is perfect for hard rips when you absolutely don't want any turnover on your shot. It'll hold a consistent flat line before fading pretty hard at the end of flight. I generally use the Pain for 300-330'ish shots. I'll toss it hard right of the basket and let it fade back right at it.

It isn't a great glider, which I think only adds to the Pain's value. It doesn't get tossed around by wind and absolutely won't bleed right on hard throws.

The Pain is a disc for more advanced players who are really honing in their game. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners or weak arms. It isn't a big distance midrange disc.

I have a max weight opto Pain.  In my opinion, this is a very underrated disc. I use it for all of my approach shots - up to about 200ft.  I even drive off the tee occasionally.  The pain will never turn over even at full power, and the opto plastic lasts forever.  The pain's best feature in my opinion is the high fade.  This makes it great for distance control.  Just throw it to the left of your target - LHBH - and it is very hard to overthrow your target: when the pain runs out of steam it fades hard to the basket. Throw it higher up and watch it sail around obstacle trees to finish right under the pin.  I rarely fail to park my upshot with the pain.

    IMHO a must have.

X Opto 179. For me, this is my most overstable midrange. It is something I'll throw when I need something under 150 left. Anything past that, I got my Trident. I do not care to throw it past 150 just because I like the Trident better and anything less Ill use it for something that just has to go left. With the 4 glide, it will stay up and not just nose dive for being so overstable.

My Pain is in Opto plastic at 175g.

I've found this disc to be very consistent and reliable, even more so than any Roc I've thrown. This disc goes straight and fades dependably at the end, which is exactly what I want it to do. Out of the hand it flys straight. It doesn't want to turn, it doesn't want to crash, it just flys straight. Once it slows down, it will begin fading and does so consistently.

I used to carry multiple Rocs in KC and DX plastic, and even Champ Roc3s, but after a little wear, they would want to turn a bit mid-flight. That's an issue when you're trying to hit a tight line and control your distance. I have not had that problem with the Pain. It only goes straight. Into a headwind, it flys straight and finishes straight. And the Opto plastic is very durable. So if the Roc is the all-time standard, this disc must be one of the best out there. If you are looking for a beaded feel, the Mace is more comparable, but for the OS mid slot, the Pain is my choice.

I love the Pain! I have a max weight Opto Pain and it is my reliable midrange for RHBH or even the occasional side arm shot. It can handle some power and a decent headwind. I find myself throwing it for a lot more drives than i have ever thrown any midange before as well. It is a lot of fun to throw and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for an overstable midrange that they can trust and has a wonderful feel in the hand with a power grip.
