The knight is a very typical max distance driver to me. The rim is gargantuan in size, which is not my preferred style of distance driver, but the thinness of the disc makes it more manageable. It's quite understable in flight for any amount of power given and will roll/turnover quickly.

Overall, I think the knight doesn't really excel at anything in specific over other discs in this category.

I found a slightly beat in Opto Knight with no name about three or four months after I first started playing and it quickly became my favorite disc. At first I had to put lots of anhyzer on it to make it fly properly but as I got better and the disc got more beat in I could throw it flatter and farther. I have now progressed to the point where it makes a great roller. when I give it a bit of anhyzer and a lot of power It will fly for about 150 to 200 feet before it hits the ground and rolls for 450+. Even when I put a descent amount of hyzer on it I can still flex it and up until recently when I bought a Vibram lace it was my farthest flying disc. If I throw it flat at 75% power, it will flip over a bit and drift to the right without coming back which is great for left to right fairways. A beat in Knight is also a great disc if you have a good forehand. The Knight it is definitely not a headwind disc because it will flip over immediately but it is my number 1 tailwind disc which is why I still have it in my bag. It feels great in my hand which is a must have for me. I also love the grip and feel of the Opto plastic. I definitely recommend getting one in Opto plastic for hyzer flips or long rollers.

This is a very strong and really reliable disc for me I love it and it is so underrated for what it can do I just started playing 5 months ago and I can flip it up and keep it straight with not a strong strong fade up to 350 feet easily

I am not the biggest fan of 14 speed drivers just because even with decent size hands the rim just does not feel good when you get up to 14 speeds. But outside of that, the knight is a really good max distance driver. This thing is not super understable but will give you just enough understability to add some distance to your maximum power shot. I can rip on this disc on a little hyzer and with no wind it will flip up, ride really nicely to the right, before finding the stability and fading back for massive distance. I find it hard to aim this disc perfectly due to the littlest amounts of wind having a pretty big impact on how much it flips. But you can expect that with a more understable distance driver. If you are throwing in an open field and landing doesn't matter you just need raw power the knight may be a great option for you. Opto plastic is my favorite plastic by far, the grip and feel of it is unlike any other plastic I think on the market. And it holds up quite well for a good disc life. It will get beat in and I could see this disc becoming at best a roller disc with enough time and wear. But straight off the shelf I found this disc to be a great 14 max distance driver for someone that can handle this. That being said I think if you are a new player or someone that does not have a lot of experience with wide rim drivers. You should stay away from this disc. A 14 speed is not a good first distance driver in my opinion. But still the knight is a great overall stable/understable distance driver if that is what you want.

I really like this disc. Playing here in West Texas, this disc makes a great head wind roller. I will say that it isn't as consistent as I'd like, when it comes to hyzer flips, but as long as you release it flat it really gets out there with a nice s curve.

Love the big rim on the Knight.  For me, this disc had to be thrown absolutely perfect to get any benefit.  Too much hyzer or anhyzer and no telling what would happen.  Such a wide variance of results.  Could see someone with identical form every throw (though technically impossible, but close enough) doing great things with it.

This disc is great - I like the big rim and the sharp edges. This disc flies. For me though, this disc is a turnover machine. If thrown at about 80%, I still tend to turn it over. It's an unpredictable disc, but I think with a lot of practice, you can get this to do what you want 90% of the time.

My biggest complaint is actually the Opto plastic. I hit a tree and a HUGE chunk of the plastic chipped off the edge.... WTH. Apparently this plastic, according to Lat 64, is some of the most durable plastic in the industry. I call BS on that.... This disc is now massively understable for me. Oh well, it's still in my bag, it is a good disc, but perhapos you should try a different plastic for this one.

This disc has the widest rim ive ever thrown and I've fallen in love with it as it's perfect for my bigger hands, not only is it good for backhands it flips up to flat and rides it for long distance forehand shots.

This disc fits the description. A fast flier that cuts through the air even faster than the Innova Katana. Its meant for speed and will work a great s curve if you release it fast on an anhyzer line.

I agree with the description that it is an understable max distance driver, but the flight numbers are a little off. I throw RHBH 325-400 depending on the disc.

    Good for:

Max distance: it's just a touch shy of my blizzard boss for max distance. You'll need a mild hyzer (even out of the box) for this

Long turning shots: without a hyzer, it glides really far to the right but fights it's away back

Flat fields: With just a tiny up (and it is picky about nose angle) and hyzer, it will get great distance on a flat plane

    Issues:

Nose angle: I find it to be very unforgiving about being thrown up or down (flat or just ever so slightly up is the sweet spot)

Good at what it does (bombing) but not great: it does get amazing distance, but you have to learn the disc and be consistent.

Wind: normally a -1 is not a huge deal but this disc is very picky about wind (as most of the 13-15 speed drivers are)

    Overall:

It's a good disc for maximum distance and select shots, but it is a little picky. Worth a spot in many bags, but you will need to learn what it's good at.

This is an excellent disc if you have the arm speed. I am a RHFH thrower and this disc is great for me. I typically throw between 350 & 400 feet. My very first throw with this disc was +400ft. I'm amazed at the distance I can get with this disc. It's a little less stable than what the ratings show but it will still fight back and finish straight., It's less stable than the Sheriff from DD or the Lat64 Ballista but more stable than a Havoc or Bolt. I'll be interested to see what this disc does when it breaks in but for now this disc will be my go to distance driver.

For me this disc is a good understable disc for new players who like the feel of the big rim and are looking for a max distance driver. I threw this disc with a little bit of hyzer and it flipped up and took of right with a little fade at the end. It is not a terrbile disc and brand new i bet it flys like a champ. Advanced players will love the long turn over shots and long rollers if beat in enough.

This disc is still very interesting to me. It says it is understable on the disc, but depending on how I throw the disc, it can have the appearance of an overstable flight. That being said, I love this disc. It isn't the disc I pull out of my bag most often, but it always does what I want it to do.

First things first. This disc has a BEEFY rim. You have to be okay with that before you think about getting this disc. If you're okay with it then this disc is a bomber. I usually throw a controlled 350-425 ft, and I'm getting predictable flights out of it depending on my release angle. Released flat it will have a nice anhyzer line and fades at the end every time. When I throw it with a slight hyzer it will pop up flat and begin to turn a bit, then finish out right in line with me. This is not a beginner friendly disc whatsoever, and it requires a bit of finesse to handle. If you're looking for something that you can crush without a turn and burn into the ground, has a bit more turn than a tern, but not as much as a king or mamba, then this disc is for you.

Flight: It is definitely understable but not to the point that I flip it to roll.  I instantly added 25 feet to my drives with this disc (replaced my Ballista).  I find this disc isn't as picky about nose angles as a lot of the other discs I've tired for distance (Ballista & Kings for example).  The flight numbers are way off.  This disc will finish more to the right, so I do find it turns more than it fades.

Opto 172. Man oh man this disc gives me headaches. It definitely is unpredictable. There are times that I will put a hzyer release on it, it will flip up and finish left with little s curve. Then there are times when I put the same release on it and it will flip up are just go right. For me, it will tend to do stuff like that in a head wind, tail wind, cross wind, or no wind, still is unpredictable. Not as much s curve as a Havoc. It has a normal 14 speed rim so a no go for beginners.

This is an interesting disc. It has a big ole rim, sometimes hard to keep ahold of. It says on the disc that it's understable, and that's somewhat true. When I through it, though, I had to intentionally put it on an anny line to get it to hold the understable path.  The fade of 4 really brings it home though.  If I threw it flat, it just ended up being overstable. I guess I need a bigger arm. I'm not sure what I'll end up using this for... but I can see it being useful for the big guns' max distance.

I typically don't do well with high-speed discs, so I knew the Knight would be a bit of a challenge for me. Maybe because of it's slightly understable pull, it went much better than I expected. I was able to get the Knight to fly straight longer than I expected. It felt more "under control" than my King or my Ballista. It hasn't won my heart over to become my distance driver of choice, but I walked away from my game pleasantly surprised. The wide rim isn't really my favorite. If you've got the arm for a 14-speed disc, then give the Knight a try. If you're trying to work your way up to that higher speed, it may still work OK for you with it's slightly understable release.

I purchased the Knight for one sole purpose. Maximum backhand distance. If you can't throw your workhorse drivers further than 380' or so, I recommend that you go nowhere near such a fast disc. I'm not even sure I have the arm to really justify this disc, but the truth is it's the farthest flying disc I've thrown. The rim is HUGE at 25 mm, so keep that in mind. It's warp speed fast, for sure faster than a Ballista or World. The turn is noticeable, but not super squirrely like many understable warp speed discs can be. I'm impressed with it's controllability for such a disc. In a tailwind for me it just holds straight with a good fade at the end. I would not throw this into a stiff headwind. I'm still getting used to the giant rim, but nearly every throw I've had with this disc has been in the 400' realm. If you throw your workhorse drivers more like 450-500, I think you may find the Knight to be too understable. I've been denying myself that maximum distance slot in my bag, as I'm more focused on my form right now, but the Knight is just so fast and too fun to throw.

I have small hands and don't ever do well with very wide rimmed drivers. The Latitude 64 Knight has a very wide rim. And one thing for sure, this disc is very fast.

Even though the subheading on the Knight says, "Understable Wide Rimmed Driver," at 4,500 elevation, 173g, brand new, and with my arm speed, the Knight is definitely not Understable for me.

After getting used to this disc, I was able to get some really far throws out of it both backhand and forehand. As long as I release it on a slight anhyzer angle, I could get some good distance out of it as it would hold the Anhyzer angle for a good portion of the flight before starting to fade out at the disc slowed in speed.

Overall, players who can get 400+ feet on their drives will probalby love the Knight. I am not one of those players and so will stick with more understable discs where I don't have to rely on Anhyzer releases to get the distance.
