A very versatile mid. The claymore isn't truly torque resistant like a buzzz, but it has more resistance than say a Mako, while achieving a lot of the "put it on any line and it keeps that line" flights that a Mako is famous for. I highly recommend this disc for beginners who want a straight shooter that will let them know if their form is being problematic, as well as for seasoned players love a good versatile mid. Awesome disc!

This review is for the Gold Ice Triple Burst. I used to use the very under rated Gold Line Core until they stopped making them. All other Cores were garbage. The more OS Gold ones were so money. The fit that Crave, River pro slot that nothing else could touch. It had something those discs didnt have and few do. It layed flat when it landed. You know, that 240' no grass around the pin tunnel shot next to the water. Not a fairway shot but just out of range for the mid. The Gold Ice Trple Burst I recieved in the Trilogy Challenge kicked the Hex out of my bag. It is the sraightest, flatest, smoothest disc I have ever thrown. It also reaches out for furthest mid too. At 50 my arm is not what it used to be but I can still get a Hades, DD, Jet out to 425 with a nice flex. This Claymore will go 300+ with ease. I could never get the Hex to 300+. What am I saying? Do not buy the Gold Ice Burst Claymore when it comes out. They are terrible. Worst disc ever. I will get rid of them all.

Definately my favorite midrange mold in the trilogy family.  Tunnel shots for days.  Easy to throw, hyzer flips backhand and sidearm.

It doesnt like wind, as most straight flying midranges don't.  Some of the recycled colors were interesting....leaf brown, leaf gold, and leaf yellow, which is just great for fall days in Michigan.

Low profile makes it feel great in the hand, and with good technique, makes flicks reliable on tunnels.

I prefer the Mako3 or M4 from Prodigy for this role, but this disc is a workhorse for many on wooded courses and i still think its one of the better molds in disc golf.

This is a true straight flying mid-range. The numbers do show a -1 turn, but I think it is more like a 0, as it just likes to hold the line you put it on. If you throw flat, it will fly straight as an arrow without going left or right (slight left fade, RHBH, at the very end). If you put a little anhyzer on it, it will go slightly right, and same with hyzer. It feels great in the hand. Smooth release, and a lot of fun to throw. I can get this to about 300'.

I keep trying to pick another mid and move away from the claymore, and in the end I keep going back to the claymore. I love the feel in the hand of this disc and how easy it is to get distance with it. Some people say this disc is flippy, I disagree. If I rip it I get a little turn before a fade back and it bombs for a mid. Flies quite a bit farther than my compasses. Great disc for any skill level.

This is a great midrange for getting around obstacles with a slight hyzer curve, or just middle of the fairway straight at the basket shots.  I would recommend this to beginners as their first driving disc because its so effortless to get it about 200, but it probably wont go over.

I really, really like the Claymore.  This thing throws so perfectly straight for me.  I've started using it as a driver on shorter, straight holes, and have had some really great throws with it.  A slight tilt and you can get a good backhand throw with a small right curve.  It really is an impressive disc and has become my go to backhand midrange and sometimes driver.  I need to pick up more of these in case I lose mine!  I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to replace a midrange and wants something that will fly straight and true with very little fade.  This disc has helped my game a lot.
