Unbelievably under-rated midrange. It's not a do-everything midrange, but for a straight flyer, point and shoot, woods golf midrange, this is the end of the road for me.

Comets are great, Mako3's are too (I have several of each). But the VCobra is truly a special mold. It is extremely STABLE in the sense that it is hard to turn either direction off of the initial angle. My first run will late flip for me and finish right if I throw full power, but I also have an orange VCobra that flies stable with no turn, and then finishes softly left (RHBH).

These can be powered up on for some late flip as mentioned above, but also can be powered down on for an extremely straight 200 ft shot with a light to moderate finish to the left. The VCobra won't fill your overstable midrange slot, and it won't fill your super understable midrange slot, but it is my a workhorse from 200 - 350 ft.

This is an excellent midrange, great for straight shots or small hyzer flips. Easy to get good distance out of this disc because of it's excellent glide. Thrown with power, you can easily take advantage of the -1 turn for a long S shot or throw flat for a turn over. Thrown a little slower, it's dead straight.

if you have ever wanted a disc you could trust for low ceiling turnovers, this is it. I more or less use it like a comet but instead if I need to throw harder or for low ceilings with less turn. Very low profile and is quite comfortable to grip. I have not used it for forehand, but I could see it feeling pretty nice for that despite having a bead. Not a common disc but for reasons I don't understand.

This disc was OK for me. I've thrown it a dozen times I can never seem to get consistent flight like my other midranges. Maybe it's my throw some of course, but then maybe it's just how this disc reacts for me. It was a little domier then I liked as well. I can see it working for others but not my favorite.

I bought this disc to replace my buzzz ss and was pleasantly surprised by the feel, glide, and flight. Fairway distance with a smaller rim makes this disc perfect for beginners.

The VCobra is a variation on the older Cobra mold. I found it to have a similar flight to the current DX Ontario Cobras, but to get that flight I really had to put a bit more power on it. I feel like I could throw my DX ones a bit easier. The grip on these VCobras feel great, and they are super flat. I much prefer the older ones, but these are worth a shot if you are looking for a straight mid.

The VCobra is one of my go-to mid ranges.  I carry three in variable stabilities.  I started out playing with Cobras back in the 90's so I decided to try out the VCobra and ended up really enjoying the disc.  I'm a big fan of the V-Tech discs.  It has great stability and handles power fairly well.  The disc is almost like a slow fairway driver, and I use it for straight to fade shots and pretty much any shot that just needs to go straight.  Excellent disc!

Acquired a 173g Star VCobra.  The top seems more like the King Cobra or Ontario mold Cobras, and not like the traditional domey Cobras.  The rim is very shallow and very comfortable;  I find all the V-Tech rims to be comfortable in my hand, and the shallow grip does resemble that of the Star Colt.

Distance-wise, the VCobra is amazingly longer than expected.  I had a couple of shots sail past the basket from 200+ feet out, one of them on a shot through the woods that I would normally throw a control driver like the River.  Someone said the VCobra was "sneaky long", and that is a good description.

In flight, the VCobra is not so much like the Colt.  When thrown flat, the VCobra flies very straight, but then fades.  On my RHBH throw, the VCobra's fade is harder than the VRoc's gliding fade, but the VCobra fades further left than the dump/dive of the Roc3.  When I play for this fade it works fine, and over time that fade might be mitigated as the disc seasons in, but it definitely has that fade at the end on straight shots and of course hyzer shots.

Interestingly, when thrown with even a slight amount of anhyzer, the disc turns over and glides to the ground without fading back left.  I threw my VCobra on a couple of dogleg-right holes with good results as the disc curved right and stayed right on my anny throws.  This makes the VCobra very versatile;  it could be a backup turnover disc if I lose my Prodigy M4 during a round.

All in all, I'll keep working with the VCobra.  It's a lot like the VRoc in flight, so we'll see who wants that spot in my bag more.  If you like the V-Tech technology, the VCobra is one of the best molds in this genre, and I recommend that you try it.

So I was very curious to try out the VCobra. Innova's new Vtech discs have been very interesting to me, and I was excited to see how the VCobra fit in with the others.

The first thing that stood out to me was how shallow the disc is. I think this is the most shallow Vtech disc that Innova has come out with so far. I've never loved super shallow discs, but the VCobra fit nice in myhand. I also love the large bead on the rim.

This disc flies very true to the numbers Innova gave it. I think this disc might fade the hardest of all the VTech discs I've thrown so far, though that isn't saying much. This disc is going to hold a straight line for as long as it can, and then right at the end it will start to fade out just a bit. I think this disc would be easy to learn, and I can see it being one that disc golfers will be able to trust for a consistant flight pattern.

I wasn't expecting much out of the VCobra before I tested it. I mean, the Cobra isn't exactly an ultra popular disc, so why would they modify it with a new VTech mold?

Well, after throwing it, I'm a big fan. This disc has a very shallow profile with a mostly flat top. In flight and feel, I'd say it is like a faster Colt.

For me, the VCobra has a very straight flight and is very controllable. I had a few throws where I was execting it to "fade back" at the end closer to the basket, but it just kept going straight. I give this a fade rating of 1 rather than 2. This disc holds a hyzer line very well, and holds an anhyzer line fairly well. It is Stable enough, and the low profile flat top make this a great forehand flicking midrange for me as well.

Overall, the VCobra is a solid all purpose midrange.

Can I say GLIDE? Wow, I'm quite impressed with the VCobra!  I'll be upfront and say I've never thrown a normal Cobra, but I decided to give this one a shot, and I wasn't disappointed.  To sum it up, it flies straight, and glides forever.

I could throw this thing further than I could some of my fairway drivers.  It's very workable and will hold the line very well.  I'm not sure I'd say it has a fade of 2 because it would fade very little, sometimes holding it's perfectly straight line as it hit the ground.  I've never had a midrange fly SO straight, (I gave up on those and usually just throw hyzer routes with a Justice or Buzzz OS).  This disc found a spot in my bag for sure.

When thrown on an anhyzer route, it held the line well, fading back just a bit at the end.  When thrown on a hyzer route it managed to stay in the air forever with it's glide.  When thrown straight it's very reliable- definitely going to be my new tunnel runner disc.

If you're looking for something new, give this a shot for sure.
