    If you need a disc for a really windy day, or a sick approach shot this is the disc for you. To those saying this is a beaded pig they're wrong. The most overstable disc in my bag similar to my caiman stability wise. This disc never fails me, almost skipped into the basket for an ace and always lands in front of the basket when approaching. Great for hyzer putts as well as putting on very windy days, it just wants to dump down when you throw it. If you want to make your approach game 10/10 I would recommend finding one.

    First off this is not a Pig like copy, it is not as overstable and a tad bit more dome. Love the feel of Blizzard plastic though, and wish they made it in max weight for more molds. The Blizzard plastic is probably the reason the disc isn't as overstable as the flight numbers are intended. I love the Hawg for either short hyzer upshots or a nice straight tunnel shot thrown with a lot of power or a bit of anhyzer.  And it does have a decent sized bead on it for those that care about that.

    Not what I expected. My review is solely on feel as I just got it and haven't thrown it yet. Mold wise, it is not a pig with a bead. My favorite thing about the pig is the thickness of the rim and this isn't even close to the same rim width. I also got one with a domey top so they aren't all "board flat" as some people describe them. The pig also has that flat slant to the bottom of the rim that is characteristic of overstability and the hawg has a more fully rounded edge down to the bead. Probably flies similar to a pig but be careful if you think you might be getting a more overstable and durable pig because this has a very different feel.

    Blizzard Champion Hawg 175 g.

    Just picked up one of these over stable putters.  It does incorporate the Blizzard Champion technology.  I really like how it looks and felt in the hands. The super flat top with the beaded rim.  Clean lines. Took it out this winter.  First throw - Hard and flat.  I love how it held a straight line and watch it drop out of the sky with a slight fade at the end.  With the flight numbers 2/1/0/3.5, I was disappointed that it did not fade back as much.  The fade was more like 1.3.  However, when I threw it at a slower speed, it had a little bit more fade towards the end.  I felt, the Pig squeal (faded) back more than a Hawg.  This is more like a guinea pig than a fierce Hawg.  I am hoping that in warmer conditions, the Hawg will show its true color and fly the way its was designed.

    The first golf disc I ever bought, way back in 1996, was an Innova Piranha. After getting back into the sport after many years off I still haven't found anything that putts as consistently as that 20 year old Piranha. It is a crying shame they went out of production in 1998. I bought this hoping that Innova finally came out with a worthy successor to the Piranha.  Well, not quite, but it is a very good overstable putter. The hard plastic and rounded rim can lead to roll aways on missed putts, which Piranhas would not do, and it is not as easy to sidearm or throw a thumb-flick, but so far appears to be just as wind resistant. Haven't had a chance to drive with it yet, but well, you can't drive a Piranha well at all. It isn't the Piranha replacement I was hoping for, but it is a very good disc that I am looking forward to throwing much more. {For those not familiar with it, the Piranha's flight numbers are 1,1,+1,3.}

    A Pig By Any Other Name

    As Alan said, the Hawg is simply a beaded Pig. I used to throw Pigs back in the day of the good Pro Pigs. Since those went OOP, Innova has struggled with the Pig...it still sells but the R-Pros arent durable and their attempts at Champion Pigs have always been too domey.

    The Hawg in Champion is infused with Blizzard bubbles and it is shockingly noticeable. It gives the rim a very gritty feel, but still seems durable (still putting it through its paces but it is holding up very well) and the bead will enhance durability. The Champ Hawgs are board flat which gives it a very comfortable feel.

    The Hawg flies exactly like a Pig: slow, low glide and overstable. Very reliable for drives off the tee and sidearms. Not too great for overhands. Quick flex shots are possible but if you want distance from the Hawg it needs a lot of height because it likes to drop out of the sky like a brick.

    Fun utility putter. I am currently bagging Scales in this slot, but the Hawg will do in a pinch.

    The Hawg was not what I expected, but it was exactly what I needed.

    I read that this was supposed to be Innova's answer to the Harp/Zone.  It is not.  It does not really compare to either of those discs for me, but surprisingly that was not a problem.

    I usually bag a KC Pro Aviar and a Harp as my overstable putters, but there are often shots where I want something that will cut harder than the Aviar but not so far as the Harp.  The Hawg fills that gap perfectly.  This thing is a brick!  It's a true speed 2, so if you rip it, it will coast straight for a good while before it starts to dump, but it will not get pushed up or around by the wind at all.  The low speed also prevents unintended skips or rolls.  It drops and sits predictably.  I've had success with the Hawg on high, sweeping hyzer shots because it wont drift, but it is also great for low ceiling shots, as it has no tendency to climb like an Aviar might.

    The Hawg has surprisingly become the disc I've been the most excited about it months.  My only regret is I only bought one.
