Favorite disc in my bag. I don't throw any other approach disc or overstable mid because if I am approaching, 90% of the time it's going to be Gator3. Love this thing. I could not jive with the Zone or a lot of other approach discs. This thing just does it for me.

Love the Gator3! Flat as a board and very stable! It has a bead which is OK and it does what I want it to do but have replaced this slot with the Toro.

Picked up a 2021 Joel Freeman Champion Gator3 and it immediately replaced the Caiman as my go-to overstable midrange.  The flat top is comfortable for backhand or forehand and the champion plastic in this run has the perfect grip.  Don't kid yourself, this disc is very beefy and not for beginners.  It has almost no glide and begins to fade as soon as it leaves your hand.  This over stability makes for an excellent wind fighter, even in 25+ mph winds.  My favorite uses for this disc is forehand approaches and short skip shots that will quickly turn the corner.  The Gator3 will be my midrange utility disc of choice for a long time, thank you Innova for creating this disc!

    175g Joel Freeman Champion Plastic

This disc finally filled the void in my bag for a trusty overstable Mid. Regardless of the wind this disc goes exactly on the line I set it on and gives me a predictable landing every time. You can definitely get it out farther than what the Fade rating suggests once you've learned the disc.

For beginners I'm sure it will fade out pretty hard but I think it will be more manageable once you've spent enough time throwing it and developing your form.

Pros: Reliable in all wind conditions. Very overstable.

Cons: Probably going to be tough for a true beginner to get a handle on it.

The Joel Freeman Gator3's are definitely flat and seem to be slightly straighter in the mid flight with that same trusty gator fade. I use this as a step up in speed and stability for the ruin/pig/zone/harp slot in my bag.

I Carry the Gator3 or Gator in my bag as my utility disc. I can either scramble well with it or get a shot, forehand or backhand, to stay on hyzer and fade out like crazy. This disc is predictible in all weather and won't let you down.

This feels fantastic and flies great. The top is pancake flat. The rim is a tick thicker than the Gator for added speed. I can get this a little farther than a Gator but with the same low speed fade and torque resistance. I use this from the tee, FH and BH flex shots, on FH upshots, and even putting on windy days inside circle.

The plastic is grippy and tough. I'm telling you, this is your OS midrange!!

This is a bigg boy disc. I like throwing it when I feel like a firebird is gonna go to far or skip instead of sit down. I use this as a utility disc and very rarely see this off the tee except for short dog leg rights or lefts (RHFH or RHBH) BUT it feels so nice in the hands and has a flat top great for flicks.

Bought the Gator3 when it first came out. For me, I use it as more of a utility disc. Most of my mids are used for shots in the 250-325 foot range but it's over stability and general lack of glide keep my shots with the Gator3 under about 200 feet. That being said, any approach shot under 200 feet where I have room for the disc to move and I'm using my Gator3 almost exclusively. If I make my upshot with the Gator3 I seldom have a difficult putt.

The Gator3 really does its job as an overstable meathook. It wants to start fading immediately out of the hand. It really flies like a Gator should. It also feels great with the flat top, and it is very comfortable in hand. This is a great disc, but beginners may want to avoid.

I bought the Gator3 when it first came out and have been using it for most of my mid range shots forehand since. I can't say enough about how much I love this disc. It goes as far as you throw it and is very stable. This disc has improved my flick game so much that I have been able to start forehanding less stable discs and putters. I love how flat it is and it's a smaller diameter mid-range so it fights wind very good. This is always staying in my bag.
