The Innova Star Fox takes everything players love about the Fox midrange and pairs it with the durability and grip of Star plastic. With its neutral-to-understable flight, this fast, glidey midrange offers early turn, smooth hyzer flips, and controlled anhyzers. The low profile and microbead make it comfortable in the hand, while the sneaky carry lets it push farther than most mids—bridging the gap toward fairway driver distance. Star plastic ensures long-lasting performance and a consistent feel, making the Fox an ideal choice for shaping lines in the woods or chasing birdies up to 300 feet and beyond.

Played four rounds last week with the Fox. One round was a two disc round the other three were 'normal' full bag rounds.

The Fox was incredible and even the people playing with me couldn't believe how versatile the Fox was and how many different lines we could use it in.

It feels great in the hand.  I prefer beadless or a micro bead.  I also tend to prefer a more shallow rim.  This checked all the boxes. However two of the guys I played with who prefer a bigger disc with a wider rim commented on how well it fit their hand as well

Won't  comment how how amazing Star plastic still is. :)

The effortless ability of the Fox to go long, go short, hold an anny line, a hyzer line, turn over, flip..... the shots were virtually endless and effortless.  I have mine in 180g and it knocked a hole in my bag immediately.   Time will tell but it may knock my beloved BuzzzSS out of the bag.  *gaslp!

For me this disc just didn't work. That 6 glide is real though and it really just wants to stay in the air forever. I would say that this fits in bewteen the Buzzz SS/Detour stability and the Khonsu/Uplink type of stability. I bag Buzzz SS and Khonsu for my flippy mids and I thought maybe this could eliminate both of these from the bag. I was wrong, but oh well.

Unfortunately, the handfeel was not there for me. It's a really shallow disc and it never really felt comfortable in my hand. The inside rim and the bottom of the flight plate are also slighlty rounded, not squared like most discs, and that made the disc feel even more shallow than it was. The shoulder of the disc was at a very... long angle and made that added to the shallow feel.

All in all, the stability wasn't quite what I was hoping for and the handfeel just wasn't there for me. I think I would like this more if it was in a Champ or Halo blend for some added stability. Then it would fly like a Buzzz SS and I don't need to replace that anytime soon. 3 stars is a pretty average disc and so this is a 3 star disc in my mind.

Understable mids are my favorite type of disc. With my natural hyzer release, I love a good hyzer flip that rides dead straight with minimal fade. I used to love the old Innova Foxbat and Wombat, so I was hoping the Fox would be a similar glidey understable mid.

It is—at least in flight. The feel is different: sleeker, shallower, and more like a mid/fairway hybrid. It has a small microbead, but it’s comfortable and doesn’t get in the way. Flat with a gradual slope, the Fox has a clean release and tons of glide, without the dome issues that kill consistency for me.

Against my Buzzz SS and Khonsu, the Fox landed right in between for stability—less flippy than the Khonsu, not as stable as the Buzzz. After some tree hits, it beat in to become the most understable of the three. Thrown smooth, it holds straight lines with precision. Powered up, it’ll ride an anny to the ground and reach fairway-driver distance.

I was hitting the high 200s in distance with ease—20–30 feet farther than my Buzzz SS. The flatter, gradual shape feels better than the Khonsu, and it works surprisingly well on low-power forehands too, giving me dead-straight 250-foot shots with no fade. Perfect disc for wooded courses.
