The Commander is an odd feeling disc to me, its like its stuck between driver and midrange. It has a wide diameter with a shoulder, but flatter top. It flies pretty fast and has some great stability, but not real overstable. Its almost like Innova was trying to bring back the flight of the old Sanny Sentinels, but this isn't that. Too many other good midranges to waste my time with the Commander.

This is a unique disc.  It is wide diameter, feels almost like a catch disc by the size alone, but rim is like a V-Roc (or V-Sentinel, if that makes sense) Little dome in the middle but fits the hand oddly nice.  It is Overstable but can create some workable lines.  Definitely agree with the speed 6.  Glide almost seemed more, but because its a wide disc it hangs well, once it slows down it hyzers out good.  Can throw flex anny shots, fades out every time.  Spikes well.  Difficult to range with the speed (for me on short shots).  Almost gets fairway type distance with a strong hyzer throughout.  Doesn't JUST spike.  I don't think its Firebird-ish at all other than being OS. It's like a Wide OS V-Roc3.   It's a nice disc and I will likely use it this winter in place of a BuzzzOs when I feel like it.   NOT JUSTICE-like FYI. Justice is smaller Diameter and spikes very hard.

The Commander has this fairway driver/midrange feel in hand.  It was described by Innova as a midrange firebird....No, definitely not like a firebird.  Though it is like an over stable, faster.... Vroc3 with a bit more fade.  It also has more glide than I expected.  Only have two rounds on it and I'm not sold on it yet just because it's new.  But I don't see it replacing my over stable rocs anytime soon.  And when I want an over stable mid to forehand or flex shot, I always reach for my viper.  I will keep it in the bag for a few more rounds to see if it's a keeper.  I'm giving it 4 stars just because it's a nice throwing disc which will always finish for you.  It's definitely has a place for most players, unless they got that spot covered.
