The Aviar-X JK (Juliana Korver) is a version of the popular Innova Aviar that brings great results. This is a “big bead” putter, meaning there is a bump or bead on the inside rim. This disc comes in soft Pro plastic. The JK Aviar is softer than the Yeti Pro, but more firm than the regular R-Pro Aviar. This putter offers an excellent grip for an accurate controlled flight. It is more overstable than other Aviar models, but is still a great putter and excellent for beginners. The grippier plastic makes it especially effective for disc golfing in cold weather.

Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discs with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff.

Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic. Discs in pro plastic tend to be slightly more understable than counterparts of the same mold in other premium plastic blends.

The combination of the bead and the flexibility of the plastic make the JK Aviar the putter my hand loves.  When putting, I did have to get used to extra fade on longer putts after switching over from the DX aviar, but I like that I have it now.  I rotate through 2 per season.

Last season's JK's are this season's overstable approach putter.   The fade when thrown with spin is dependable and I love this disc for the flick anhyzer RHFH that needs to go left and accurately land flat.    My only complaint is that sometimes its hard to find them in max weight and neon pink.

A bit too deep for putting but for short, straight upshots its fantastic. The depth and the bead grab the ground with minimal skip and its got a very dependable fade that's perfect for anything 150-200ft out.

Innova's go to beaded putter for a reason, it's dependable. The pro plastic likes to stick in the basket and is quite grippy, but durable enough to not warp significantly with wear.

The JK Aviar is outstanding as a throwing putter. I love the soft plastic for approach shots within about the 200-250 ft range and below. It just sits. The stability is nice too, I don't have elite power but when thrown flat these things fly super straight with a touch of fade at the end. Out of the box they can be a touch more over stable than I expected so if you are a brand new player just be aware of that, but due to the plastic quality they season pretty quickly and because of the low speed they are very workable for tiny flex approaches, hyzer flips, and flat shots and I love throwing these in practice rounds because you can really work them on a bunch of nice lines in the woods.

As a putting putter I am not 100% confident in them yet, I love the feel of the big bead aviar mold in my hand, somewhere in-between a judge and a wizard as a lot of people say. I have relatively small hands but these actually feel quite nice for me, I like that it feels substantial in my hand if that makes sense. I like to grip pretty tightly so I can get some nice spin on my putt, and the bead is a point of reference for my putting routine that I rely on. My only point of concern for these is that it may be too soft. I feel like sometimes I can't get a consistent feel on my putt because the rigidity can vary so much just in different temperatures. I love the stiffness of dx but have never seen a dx big bead aviar, so maybe I will try the KC aviars next to compare, but for now the jk is staying in my bag because it handles all my P&A needs.

Overall just a great disc that can cover all your P&A needs. If you like a soft flexible plastic I definitely recommend checking it out. If you like dx or stiffer plastics maybe avoid this one.

Currently my favorite disc. They are fantastic driving putters. They get the best distance out of all my putters and my rocs. I can put 80% power on a hyzer they hyzer flip then glide forever and land like a hovercraft. In the field I can get these to go almost as far as some of my fairway drivers (350ft). Crazy because 300ft for a putter for me was 100% and too much effort so I used putters for 250ft or less. Not anymore. This disc is also pushing out some mids and some use instead of under stable fairways. Not my favorite to putt with but usable if I'm going to play a round with 1-3 discs.

Ps I love this mold so I was inclined to like this disc. I putt with kc pro aviars and use those plus dx big bead aviars for drives. The jk pro plastic grip feels so good and the extra grip may be the source for the extra distance.

I have gone through many different putters, but when I got my hands on a JK Aviar - X, I fell in love with these. They feel great, they are grippy, sticky, and they seem to fall right when they hit the chains. I think can count on one hand how many rollaways I have had with these putters. They simply stop once they hit the ground. I own 5 of these, and they are all pretty flat (which I like) and they handle winds pretty well. Lastly, they go very straight with a consistent and slight fade at the end. When you putt or approach with these putters, you know exactly where it is going and have no doubts about it.

As a person new to this sport, I have been searching for a putter that feels terrific in my hands. I have experimented with various plastics (Champion, DX, G-Star) and from various manufacturers (Discraft, Latitude 64 & Streamline). Innova's Aviar-X (JK-Pro) by far has the best feel to all of them.

The disc has that grippy feel in the hand as well as into the basket. This disc solved a problem about how it will feel once it has been laying out in the sunlight for a few minutes. G-Star plastic feels all gummy, DX plastic feels waxy, but the JK-Pro plastic does not feel over grippy, which was what I expected to happen, but it didn't.

I am definitely going to be building an inventory with this putter so I can have multiple discs to practice my putting with.

Let's start with the grip- For me, the JK Aviar-X is the standard by which all putters should be compared. The pro material used for the Aviar-X is the ideal balance of grippy while not being sticky. It comes off the fingers easily, and does so the same way every time. In a putter especially, you need the confidence to be able to replicate your motion without concern that the disc will slip or stick. JK Aviar-X = mission accomplished in this regard.

The A-X is definitely overstable for a putter. It has a noticeable, predictable fade, which makes it tremendous for right-side and center-chain putts. If your putt is fading as it hits left-side chains, though, that can be problematic. Solution, of course, is to make the adjustment.

The A-X is versatile enough to be thrown as an approach disc and even a driver depending on your power.

One it's broken-in, the A-X becomes even more friendly. You'll be able to throw it with a more natural hyzer motion without it fading too much at medium to low speeds.

From someone who likes beaded putters, this makes a great approach putter.  I especially like that it's soft and grippy, so it's easier to control, and when it sits, it sticks.  I've had a lot of trouble with my approaches rolling away, but I definitely have less of a problem when using this disc.  I've also found that it's a pretty good throwing putter.  For me, when slightly beat, it flies completely straight with almost no fade when thrown with some power and spin.  Thrown softly and flat, it will fly straight with a very soft fade at the end.  Also very reliable in that it won't turn over unless you make it turn over.  A great balance between trying to learn how to throw a flippy approach disc straight and hyzering in all your shots.  Also great for a variety of shot shapes.  Great for straight and hyzer, and will hold anhyzer for quite a while before flattening (great for avoiding cut rolls).  And hey, if it's good enough for James Conrad, it's good enough for me!

The Aviar-X is a great putter! The thing I love most about this disc is the JK plastic. The plastic is one of, if not the best grippy plastic that Innova makes for a putter. The plastic is fairly soft but very tacky. It gets pretty gummy when you play in the heat which could be a good or bad thing based on your personal preference. The Aviar-X does have a fairly large bead on the bottom for those that like beaded putters. It is a very straight flyer for putting and it grips the chains very well. I use relatively new Aviar-Xs for putts inside the circle and use a really beat up one for anything outside the circle because of its incredible glide.

This was the first putter I bought outside of a starter pack. It's a good disc but I decided that the big bead just wasn't for me. The best part of this disc is the soft grippy plastic.

I agree with many reviews that this disc is an all around excellent putter.  One was given to me around 6 years ago and it is still in the bag today. It has beaten in to a straight, outside circle one putter for me. It is also the approach disc I go for when I don't need something like a Zone or a Pig. I have other similar, newer putters for off the tee but, I still enjoy throwing this one on occasion.

I put with Yeti Pro Aviars so, this mold has the same, familiar, confident feel for me. I will always have an Aviar X in the bag.

Originally I bought a JK Aviar strictly for putting and it was a fine putter even in the wind. Since purchasing that disc I've realized that putters have a place for shorter drives or controlled upshots and that's what really brought me back to this disc. I now bag two of these discs, one new and one pretty beat in. The beat in disc is great for straight backhand shots with a slight fade at the end of the flight. I can turn it a bit and it will still come back to finish flat. The new one flies similarly but is a bit more overstable so it fades a bit more. I use them both for straighter backhand shots under 250ft and I'm working on learning to use them for more hyzer and anhyzer throws.

For putting I like to rest my index finger on the underside of the bead and I really like the grippy quality of the JK Pro plastic. I tend to use this disc more for jump putts/approaches and I'm practicing with it for longer putts as well

Just started using these this winter to help combat the cold. These stiffen up to perfect firmness when cold. They aren't the most durable plastic so they are definitely limited that way. I have noticed that they tend to be a bit more overstable than KC pro aviars. They definitely finish with solid fade (for an aviar). Since they are a bit less stiff, it takes some adjustments to get used to when pitch putting with them because they tend to come out of the hand wobbly.

Purpose of this disc:  I use this disc for my driving putter and approach.  Currently I bag two, one that has about a year and a half of heavy use and a brand new one.

Flight:  With my main thrower that I have used for a year and a half, it still has great high speed stability to it.  I still trust this disc to throw hard on hyzer and let it flip to flat.  When I throw this disc with not as much power it will hold whatever line I put it on vs my fresh disc will start to pan out at the end of the flight on an anny.

Feel:  This disc is unique in that it very similar to a KC pro, but is a softer plastic.  I prefer the softer plastic for the feel and that it will grab the ground instead of skipping.  The downside to this disc is that if you hit something at a high speed, it will bend.

If one was to pick the best base plastic throwing putter the JK aviar would be in pretty much any conversation and for good reason. The JK Aviar X is semi-deeper and beaded much like the KC pro and Yeti Pro aviar however it has a unique feeling flight plate with a concave center and comes in a very tactile, softer plastic. The JK Aviars I've had were all 175g and as mentioned have a very particular profile to them.

What makes the Aviar X stand out is that it is a surprisingly stable putter easily handling the driving putter duties but possessing that unique soft plastic which likes to sit when it makes contact with the ground unless you are coming in with a large amount of speed. This mold will let you carve a lot of angles especially as it wears as the disc can generate some turn but never loses that smooth fade at the end. As far as putting goes the JK aviars unique profile makes it a love it or hate it kind of relationship as far as hand feel goes. It's flight for putting is very straight with only a bit of taper off, which is odd considering how stable this disc throws. I've found it to be very workable within about a 40ft range but found they tend to lose steam when you get at that 50ft mark with my current putting style. The Jk aviar does lack some utility in the forehand department as its unique profile makes the grip for sidearm very uncomfortable.

The JK aviar is very versatile and handles most wind situations pretty well to a point.

The JK aviar is pretty beginner friendly, I think for some it will make a solid driving putter that will get better as it breaks in and it is most definitely a very comfortable and capable putting putter.

Overall I can really see why this disc has been a staple for so long, it has a very desirable flight and honestly is a very capable mold backhand and putting wise. I think its plastic blend is the sweetspot for stiffness and tackiness for me personally and i strongly recommend people try them should they get the chance.

Do not be decieved. If you buy this disc new, this is most definitely an overstable throwing putter. Out of the box, this disc has a ton of high speed stability. It is only when you beat in this disc that it finally becomes really glidey straight flyer. If you enjoy the grippy, flexible plastic and a deeper mold with a bead, this is the disc for you.

I own 5 JK Aviars and bag them all. Some I use for putting, others for driving. Some of them are glow, but in my experience, the glow part doesn't add any extra stability.

Feel: This is a tall putter and requires a fan grip (back hand). I had previously been against beads on my discs but the JK changed my mind completely. The bead fits snuggly inside the nook of your index finger, and when released properly gives me a consistent release point. The plastic is very flexible and tacky. I have very dry hands (especially during the winter time) and it's impossible for me to hold on to stiffer plastics, so this is just what I needed. The tack holds up even in wet situations which, strangely enough, is another way my hands dry up. One thing to keep in mind however, is if you do hit a tree on a drive off the tee your disc will "taco," but It's easy to bend the impact point back and it usually slowly works it's way back to it's original position on it's own, and most importantly hitting a tree has never effected it's flight.

Flight: This is an neutral to overstable putter that can handle a lot of power. On a max speed shot I can get this disc out just past 300ft, given I have enough hight to let it work it's magic. At that speed on a neutral shot, the JK will, depending on which JK I throw, ether flip to flat and ride dead straight with a mini fade at the end, or flip to a slight annie line and ride it the entire way before returning to flat at the very end. It can handle higher annie lines and hyzer lines with ease and will continue the lines you put them on.
For approaches it's best on slight hyzer but if you want it to ride straight you have put it out flat or even slightly anhyzer. It can handle annie approaches as well but requires additional spin to keep it on that line.
I also putt with my JK aviars but have ones that are only for putting so that I don't have to putt with a tacoed putter. Most putters are the same within 30ft, but when outside of that range the stability of the JK does come into play and must be kept in mind that it will hyzer out at the end of it's flight. It can also be spin putt with slight annie and will come back when outside of the circle.

Additional thoughts: This is a mainly backhand putter but works well when thrown forehand within 200ft and can handle a bit of off axis torque. Past that distance it begins to break down and loose a lot of control. I would recommend a yeti aviar for forehand putter shots, it seems the concave top and slightly firmer plastic allows for a cleaner release forehand.

TLDR: My favorite putter. Changed my mind about beaded discs. Neutral to overstable. Can be thrown back hand or forehand. Maxes out at 300ft BH, 200ft FH. Grippy flexible plastic. Hitting trees will bend the disc, but doesn't change the flight. Great for approaching and putting. Great for people with dry hands. It has replaced all of my other putters (except the zone) and some mids. An absolute work horse.

I probably spent the better part of a year trying to find the perfect putter for my putting style. I tried everything, from Aviars to Magnets to Judges and Marshalls, and finally settled on the JK Aviar-X. These things feel great in the hand, stop on a dime when used as a throwing putter, and stick to the chains like no other disc I've thrown. While I may transition to KC Pro Aviars in the wind or for more lengthy putts, the JK Aviar is by far and away my go-to choice for Circle 1 putting. Would highly recommend it.

I adore this putter, it has been my go-to for anything inside 250' for years.  Reliably stable even into a headwind and nestles nicely even on rough terrain.  The absolute best feature of this disc is the grip though!  I've tried many other putters, and nothing compares with the tacky, grippy special blend JK Pro plastic.

If you are brand new to disc golf, you might not be into a putter this stable, but once you start looking for hyzer discs this deserves a look.

After going through multiple molds looking for that "perfect" putter, I have finally settled with the JK Aviar. I like the feel of the softer plastic and the big bead doesn't bother me. I feel like the bead gives me a spot to check my grip prior to putting. Disc flies pretty straight but you must account for the slight amount of fade at the end of flight. The JK rubber sticks to the chains well and I rarely suffer from bad roll aways.

My only complaint with this disc is that I sometimes get a bad release and believe its due to the bead not coming out of my hand cleanly. I have hit some amazing putts with this disc which is why I keep coming back to it. If you are a fan of softer putters that have a bead, give this one a try.

This is a beaded version of the Aviar, and very similar to the KC Pro model. The big difference is the plastic. If you are not a fan of the harder KC plastic, this is a disc to try. The plastic has a very soft, grippy, and rubbery feel to it. The disc will have some flex to it. Its flight is similar to the KC model, as it has healthy fade when new, but breaks into a great straight putter and thrower.

This my go to putter. I have been putting with the Gateway Wizard for quite some time. This putter is knocking strokes off my game. I noticed practicing in my back yard this putter was hitting the basket more consistently than the Wizard. I made the change and now I can't look back. I have a push spin combo put and the JK loves it. Not to many left out floating around. Get them while you can!8

I think the JK Pro Aviar is a very underrated disc. It is soft, grippy, and has a consistent release for anyone that prefers a beaded putter.

What I like the most about the JK Pro Aviar is the grip. I use a D-Line (DX) P2 for putting, and these can get a little slick for my liking depending on the conditions. For rainy, dry, or cold conditions, I like to actually keep a JK Pro Aviar in my bag if my go-to putter isn't getting a good release in these tougher situations.

another plus to the JK Pro Aviar is the grip to the plastic. Not only does the JK offer more grip than any of the other Innova Putters I have felt, it also grabs the chains exceptionally well. You don't have to worry about this disc sliding off the chains like champion or star plastic, or especially those terrible MVP putters. Spit outs are almost always deserved with the JK Aviar, as it requires to be a lot off target for a disc to come off the chains and out of the basket.

The reason I knocked a star off of this review is because I myself hate beaded putters. Although I like the JK and can get a better release point on it than any other beaded putters, I still find the same problem with the JK: Hooking onto my finger. I don't know why this happens, but every once in a while (say 1 of 20 putts), a beaded putter will hook on the end of my finger and I will miss the putt as if the basket were 3 feet to the right. everything feels normal in the putt; flight, glide, everything, except the fact that I miss so far to the right. For this reason, I stay away from beaded putters.

Overall I like the JK Pro Aviar. This is the first beaded putter that has ever made my bag for the putting green. I like to bag a Discmania P1x from time to time, but this is for teeshots and upshots, whereas the beaded putter JK Pro Aviar will be used inside the circle for closer putts for me.

Found a JK Pro Aviar at a local course about a month ago.  I mainly use it as a driving putter and really like the lines I'm hitting with it.  Throw it with hyzer, watch it hold the line until the end.  Throw it flat and hard, watch it ride dead straight and fade slightly at the end.  Throw it on an anny line and watch it ride that anny almost until the end.  Very predictable flights with a gentle fading finish.

I got this for registering for the Fish Bowl tournament this year in Sellersville Pa.  It is my putter at the moment for inside 50ft and sometimes off a tee if its less then 250ft.  This has more glide and more control then my vibram sole. but the past year I have changed to a spin putter rather then push I seem to get more distance and acurracy out of this method and it is dropping my scores, along with the amount of practice I have put in.
