The Arachnid is a lovely high glide low profile midrange. Super comfortable feeling, easy thrower. Goes far, certainly the glide is apparent. Like the first reviewer said, it is not as stable as the numbers suggest, but thats not surprising with how much glide and distance potential this disc has. It wants to turn into its flight from flat release, and it wants to stay on that turn for most of its flight before a small baby fade kicks in at the very end. From hyzer angle this thing can glide straight as an arrow for ever. It is an awesome sight to behold. I would say most anybody could find a use for this disc. Its a bomber mid for sure. It doesnt handle head winds very well, but most other wind situations it did anywhere from fine to great in. It does ok with more power, but the thing really wants to be thrown smooth and easy, and I have found my best flights from it are with throws like that. It can be a fantastic teaching disc to help smooth form for sure.

This disc flies for DAYS. I have other discs that claim a 6 glide and they don't feel like anything special. But the Arachnid 100% earns that 6 glide number and then some. I normally use this in a mid-range capacity for distances about 275 or less, but I've accidentally launched it 350+ feet before I realized that it's not like my lower glide Buzzz or Detour, and I can dial back my power on it significantly to get the distance I want. Also, I don't really try to shape shots with the Arachnid. I have other discs if I need to bend around obstacles. No, for me, the Arachnid is when I need a laser-guided missile. In that capacity, no other disc in my bag comes close to flying as consistently like it's on a rail.

I should point out that on a RHBH is when this disc flies impressively straight for me, with almost zero fade at the end. However, with a forehand shot, I feel like it has a lot more end of flight fade, with a strong finish to the right. But rarely am I wanting to forehand this disc.

Whenever I find a disc that does EXACTLY what I want, I usually like to stock up on several of them so I have some backups. The Arachnid falls into that category.

The Rach is a good disc. At first I was a bit undewhelmed, because it is quite similar to a Fox. It just has a much blunter leading edge. I think it has the exact same bottom. I was also expecting a little more stability. It's not really there, IF you're going to throw the big turnover lines a lot of us use the Fox for. Don't throw Fox lines and expect it to magically dump out of the exact same flight. Expect to use it like a longer, slightly flippier Buzzz. The 5/6/-1/1 numbers probably only apply to a flat throw, which does get fairway driver distance. Other the other wing angles will be very similar to a Fox.
