I like the enhanced grip you get from the raised rim on the Glyph, as it works well for controling your release. I also like the feel and grippiness of the R-blend plastic -- which helps it catch the chains or "rub" itself to a stop on the ground quickly if a putt misses. As far as using it as a throwing putter, I found that it didn't really have a 5 glide: Comparing it specifically to my other lid putters, it usually didn't get much farther than my slightly heavier, 2-glide Landmine, and was falling short of my 2-glide Claws (although in my review of the Claws, I actually gave it a 4-glide, based on how its distance compared to my 3- and 4-glide putters). With the Glyph being more similar to Frisbees than your average disc golf discs, I think beginners will have an easy time using it for putting or throwing.

The Glyph is a great approach disc, with a smooth straight flight, and slight fade at the end. It has a thumbtrack and a fairly deep rim, but I still felt like it handled forehands well, and it came out of the hand fairly cleanly. It won't roll away on you on impact, especially in the R-Blend plastic. It's also decently torque resistant, and can handle a little more power than you would expect out of a 1 speed. Anyone could pick this disc up and have success with it.

I love the R-blend. It was exactly what I was looking for so that it was easier to grip and grip the ground. I wish it was a bit more torque resistant so a touch forehand could be more in play and it beat in quick to be understable but I still enjoy it. Would recommend it over a DX Polecat but maybe about the same as a Yikun Claw.

It's just like a Alpha Armadillo, but slightly deeper and slightly more understable. Feels great if you love the polecat.
