Evolution is Gateway's durable premium plastic. This is their description:

The Evolution™ series polymer, a TPU from BASF, has a surface durometer score of 60 D-Shore. It is virtually scratch-, scuff-, dent-, crack-, and chip-proof. The durability is as good as any plastic on the market. The smooth surface and low profiles make each model a little faster while remaining very comfortable in your hand.

I just ordered 2 more of these.  I use this disc 200 feet and in for an approach disc that has to work around obstacles.  Now matter what angle I throw it, it will hold.  Anhyzer or hyzer.  Wind or calm.  It has a very reliable path.  If it is an open field, I will not throw it.  But if I need a controlled throw around trees or through a tight curvy path in the woods, I throw no other.  If you have trees or play in the wind and cannot park your drives all the time, you need one.

Now when a manufacturer makes a disc, they should make one to have a purpose, to do something that will benefit a disc golfer different from what other discs (at least in their line) do. To me, the Hybrid is just a disc to be a disc. This disc is just awkward feeling. It has a relatively thin rim for a driver and is super domey forcing a different than normal hand position. Not only is the Hybrid hard for me to control, but it seems that I can get better distance out of a midrange. The Hybrid might have a purpose and might work great for someone else, but for me, this disc is just not fun to throw.
