If you're familiar with the Realm, this disc is a slightly straighter version of that, with more glide and flip-up.

If you're not familiar with the Realm, it's basically a beat in Destroyer, or a Pro Destroyer. And to put this to a comparison, it's basically that flippy driver that bombs, everyone wants it.

I'd definitely recommend this disc if you want a new bomber, it's a good piece of plastic.

Holy wow, I have found my driver. I'd been eyeing one of these off for months and finally had the opportunity to pick one up earlier this week, immediately I thought it was the most comfortable distance driver I've ever held, fits my hand perfectly. Took it out for it's first round today and (not to say a cliche here) it's added metres to my drive immediately. The glide is nuts! It has a gentle turn out of the box, super controllable. It can handle a headwind to an extent but it wouldn't be my first choice in that situation. Numbers seem accurate. All in all, brilliant disc, straight in the bag and I'll be keeping an eye out for backups.

The Ether is a great compliment to Gateway's Realm. It is slightly less stable, with a touch more glide. This disc seriously bombs, and you can expect to push your max distance with this one! It holds up great in any condition, and the NXT plastic is just grippy enough to be useable in the cold as well. Its somewhat skinnier profile feels fantastic for forehand shots. I found myself throwing this one more and more the longer I had it in my bag. Definitely one to check out.

Absolute crusher. This is my furthest flying stable driver with my 400 ft arm. Love the NXT plastic. It doesn't hate wind, and I get pretty consistent flights out of it and finishes just left of center, true to numbers. If you're always looking for a neutral run of Destroyer, this is a good pick.

As an aging disc golfer, my arm just isn't what it used to be.  Which means I'm looking for disc's with exceptional glide in order to eke out as much distance as possible as needed.  I recently stumbled upon the Ether while thumbing through the used bin at a local store.  Based on the flight numbers, I figured I would give it a try and glad I did.  The Ether has an interesting hand-feel for a speed 12 distance driver.  In the hand, it feels more like a speed 11 and is very comfortable for my smaller hands.  The rim depth isn't too shallow or too deep for me.  I could see people with larger hands maybe thinking it's a little too shallow for their liking.  The flight path for me is that of a brand new Champion Sidewinder, but with the 12 speed(little bit of turn and a little bit of fade).  I think the speed 12, glide of 6 and -1 turn is definitely spot on.  Where my experience differs is with the fade.  Even though this was a used disc, it looked brand new with no signs of wear.  I would give this disc a +1 instead of a +2 for fade.  Gateway has produced a solid distance driver for people with slow to average arm speed.  If you're in the market to try out a fast and exceptionally glidey distance driver that isn't a beefcake, then definitely give the Ether a go.
