The Gateway Devilhawk is a beaded putt and approach disc with a thin profile and a unique thumb-track flight plate. This disc is the beaded version of the warspear, or the thumb-trac version of the Chief.

The Devilhawk has a stable flight path and works well as a driving putter.

Is the Gateway Devil Hawk a 3 speed Razor Claw 3? A Discmania Mutant mated with an Innova Pig....the Mutant Pig? Maybe a beat in slow Tilt? Yes. Yes to all of it.

This disc really surprised me. It feels like an Innova Pig on a diet. Slightly slimmer rim that's somewhat close feeling to the Prodiscus Jokeri. A deep but slowly sloped thumb track that's somewhere between the Berg & Pig that's much more comfortable to forehand than the Pig. Backhand it feels great, and even works well with tomahawk. Sure Grip does beat in fairly quickly. The bead is pretty pronounced, so if you're not into beaded overstable approach discs than this might not be for you.

Not sure if I'll bag it yet, but I'm continuing to bring it to rounds to see if it'll get a spot in my bag.

Committed to this putter when I bought 12 practice Factory 2nds.  Great option for a stable putting putter, SureGrip holds its feel very well even when damp.  Plastic definitely gets beat pretty good, so having a couple extras is handy.  Looking to keep working on putting with these guys this year.

Great approach disc, I love the thumb track, and it's my main putter within 30ft.

The Glow plastic holds a charge pretty well, much longer than Innova glow plastics.

9 Months and a bazillion rounds in,  I've started to appreciate and prize stability and soft landings on approach shots...Hello Devil Hawk! I'm using a Sure Grip it for short back hand approaches...some of my medium approaches and forehand flicks feature a Warrior in sure grip. Soft Landings and predictability---these discs are "self Shaping"

Suregrip Devil Hawk is quite possibly the most underrated or overlooked approach disc in the game. The zone is amazing, I'll give it that. But this is the better option for BH approach shots hands down. Try one, you won't regret it. If the zone and berg had a baby, and it was the perfect baby, it would be the devil hawk.

The Devil Hawk is basically Gateway's version of Innova's Pig or any of the other P&A thumbtrack discs. It's got an extra flat top and in Sure Grip is nice and stiff while being super grippy.

Overall I like the feel of this disc better in comparison to a Pig. The thumbtrack is less rigid and more smooth. Sits between a Pig and Berg in terms of smoothness of the thumbtrack.

Really glad I bought this disc and if you're struggling to find Pigs, Bergs, etc... these days, definitely give this a shot to fill that low profile p&a spot in your bag.

This disc when I got in in a box seemed like a waste of space and a waste of money due to the unique shape. But this disc after throwing it has some special qualities that most putters don't have. This disc can be similar to a banger gt or a zone. The devil hawk is pretty decent with putting but amazing with the approach. Throwing forehand with this disc works so well and works well with backhand too because of the grip. Definetly would recommend the suregrip due to the rubber feel.

What the Zone does forehand, the Devil Hawk does backhand. The thumb track is very comfortable in my hand, even moreso than my Banger GT!  This along with the Sure Grip plastic is why I rely on the Devil Hawk instead of my ESP Zone for BH approaches under 120'.

This is not a putting putter unless you need to get around an obstacle or conquer headwind. What this disc excels at is short upshots. I tend to far overshoot the basket on long approaches with my beloved glidey Pures, but I can trust the Devil Hawk to plop out of the air where I want it like a glorious turd. It has nice, predictable fade and doesn't roll or skip.

I'd actually give it a +1 turn because it immediately fades left out of the hand (RHBH). It may beat in a little straighter. If you need it to go straighter a little longer, it will give you a nice, tight flex on an anhyzer release.

Plenty of fade.  Use the Devilhawk to shape your shot around trees and to avoid gliding passed the basket.  Don't expect it to go 100+ ft without anhyzer unless it's seasoned.  It will surprise you with how well it hides that fade in the circle.  I think it's a decent choice in the circle, especially in extreme wind.

The feel in hand is phenomenal, due in large part to Gateway's thumb-track.  I haven't held a more comfortable thumb-track personally.  Every player I've handed it too has responded positively to the grip, but it takes some experience to use it well.

would be 5/5 if it was more durable.  Great putter plastic for you and the chains, but it doesn't fare the best against trees or rock.

The Devil Hawk is a beefy beaded putter (I will never putt with it) with a thumb-trak. When I say beefy, its more than hyperbole. For me, it is a fine headwind approach disc. Nothing super long, just shortish, very hard hyzers. I think Drone when I throw this, but the Devil-hawk is a slower disc so keep that in mind.
