The Gateway Amphibian, formerly known as the Proto 103, is a versatile control driver designed to excel in various disc golf situations. Its unique features, including a thicker flight plate and an etched rim, enable the disc to float on water even at heavier weights of up to 175 grams. With a flight plate that approaches maximum thickness, the Amphibian exhibits reduced gyroscopic progression, resulting in a smooth drop instead of a strong fade, making it an ideal choice for precise fairway drives.

Not only does the Amphibian excel in holding long and accurate lines, but it also performs exceptionally well as a turnover disc, allowing players to navigate tight lines with ease. Additionally, its versatility extends to its usefulness as a reliable roller disc, adding another shot-shaping option to your arsenal. With its remarkable qualities, the Amphibian is ready to hop into your disc golf bag and become a trusted companion on the course.

This disc has a strange hand feel. The flight plate is really thick. The shape of the shoulder of this disc also feels strange. Pros: flight numbers are spot on, floats in water, could be a good roller disc(not a shot I have down). Cons: strange hand feel, feels kind of heavy(it isn't), the plastic that makes it able to float takes heavy damage from tree hits. Overall, this disc is weird, but good. I will use it for a disc when I'm not sure if I can clear the water. It is better than a Innova dragon.
