The Meteorite is a driver that easily matches the specifications of all long distance drivers. This Hyper Long Driver will give you the extra distance to throw farther than your opponents. It is fast and stable up to 300 ft.

NOTE: The early run stamp says that the flight numbers are 11 / 6 / -5 / 1 but the -5 is actually a -.5 or half. This is not an understable disc. It is a stable to overstable distance driver so we've adjusted our flight ratings accordingly.

So I'm not really sure if there was a typo on the disc or not, but it's definitely NOT a -5 turn. Maybe they meant -.5, as that would make more sense. Anyway, this disc is actually really fun once you learn how it flies! This is a straight to stable flying distance driver. I really like the speed 11 rim on the disc, it feels so nice in the hand. You can crank on this disc pretty hard and get minimal turn, just a very nice straight flight with a good chunk of fade at the end.

The plastic feels okay, it's not my favorite in the world. It's sort of like a pro blend that doens't feel super duper durable, but nice enough to throw as a driver. It's a very consistent disc that I'm going to enjoy tossing around some more.

The Galaxy Discs Meteorite is a fun disc to throw. It is a low profile driver with a good feel and nice flat top. Based on the flight ratings with a -5 turn printed on the disc, I was expecting the Meteorite to be super flippy understable driver. For my disc golf speed and power, this thing wasn't even remotely understable and had a massive end of flight fade. After a few failted backhand throws that just faded hard with very little distance I switched my usage to that of a forehand driver and the Meteorite excelled. This disc is an excellent and accurate sidarm driver for me. My only complaint is that the EClass plastic is not very durable and the disc got pretty beat up from hitting paths a few too many times.

The Meteorite was my favorite of the new Galaxy Disc molds. It is a distance driver that can handle some torque. It wasn't at all what I expected, given the flight numbers on the disc stamp. According to the numbers, it should be massively understable, but it certainly isn't. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is a very overstable disc, but it always faded for me, even when powered out to the 300+ foot range. I'd say that it flies more like an Innova Wraith. It is very dependable.

I threw this driver in the inexpensive, base plastic called "E Class" since it was the only available when testing the disc. It is pretty typical for base plastic, like Pro-D or DX, etc. It is semi-soft and grippy, which is nice for a putter, but with this driver, after a couple of rounds playing in my local course where there are paved walkways that can be hit, the edge of the disc got pretty beat up. I'd say that for the price, it is a great driver to play with, but it might be worth waiting for a more solid plastic if you plan to use it a lot.
