    ecoFLEX Details

    Elevation Disc Golf's ecoFLEX plastic is a vulcanized rubber blend, making it different from Elevation's previous silicone blends. ecoFLEX is made of 30% post-consumer medical scrap, such as rubber gloves. This makes it about one-third recycled material! The vulcanized nature of this rubber blend vastly improves the durability of the discs. ecoFLEX is very puncture resistant and should hold up very well over time.

    The grip is fantastic on ecoFLEX (think pink eraser), and the blend doesn't pick up dust and dirt as easily as Elevation's silicone plastics do. ecoFLEX is the stiffest plastic that Elevation Disc Golf makes. It still has the ability to bend upon impact, making it possible to stick the landing, but it feels stiffer in the hand.

    The Psychic appears to be the same mold as the Yikun Da'e but without the dome that a solid plastic would produce. That being said, I found the flight to be similar to a Champion Katana, exhibiting more turn and fade than one would expect from the flight numbers. Compared with other ecoFLEX discs, the Psychic is about right in the middle of the lineup, maybe a little more firm overall than the Binx due to the thicker rim. Similar to the Binx and especially the Interceptor, you likely will have to modify your release to be able to get the disc to fly how you would expect it to.

    I live in a pretty windy area, and the Psychic tends to turn into a high speed roller-- especially if it's turned over even in the absence of high wind. Overall, I enjoy the disc and it has the potential to cover some great distance similar to the Katana (which is one of my favorite drivers) if you can manage to throw it right. 

    If you want a grippy, slim, fast and flexible flex shot driver give the Psychic a shot.
