This disc is not your typical stable/overstable 9 speed and works exactly as designed. The ecoFLEX rubber blend removes much of the ground play that you generally get out of an overstable driver. It is perfect for when you need the distance of a control driver, but are coming into a difficult green or near OB where a skip would be costly. I throw mine around 330-350' and on a slight hyzer it will flip to flat and then have a consistent strong fade at the end with little to no skip depending on the surface. It feels comfortable in hand and has enough stiffness to allow you to put full power into it. For reference, I only throw this disc backhand and my golf distance is generally 375-400'.

Absolutely love everything about this disc! Elevation is doing some great things with the materials they are putting out-- ecoFLEX is very grippy, durable, and flexible in all the right ways. The stamp wears off a little easy, though.

As far as flight is concerned, the Gecko is extremely straight and glidey with very hard late flight fade, which might make it a little easier to throw for beginners. The ecoFLEX material makes the disc pop up almost immediately from hyzer drives,  while holding even severe anhyzer lines with confidence it will always come back. If you have a lot of throwing power, you'll probably be surpised at how well it fights high speed turn. Great forehand workability, too. Works better than both the Firebird and old Doom Bird FD3 discs for me, which can get a little temperamental in high speed wind. Very little ground play since it's so rubbery. Top notch, Elevation; this has a forever home in my bag.

Great disc. Flies similar to my firebird, but does not really skip (which is super nice). Its great for if you want to throw The EcoFlex rubber is nice and relatively stiff. Overall, super nice disc that has become a staple in my bag!!
