The Sergeant is an excellent distance driver with a crossover feel - it is not as fast as the Raider, but faster than the Getaway. It is an excellent disc for throws that a fairway driver may not reach, but that you don't want to power down. It's a comfortable disc for both backhand and forehand with a nice dose of stability to give you an end fade.

Feel of the lucid plastic is great except when it is wet. I like to through this mainly on forehands as it is very good with handling my flick. I don't recommend this disc for beginners as it is very difficult to get this not to hyzer out straight away. I best like to describe this as a faster firebird as it is very overstable. I use it in headwinds as it works well and I easily get 300-400 feet out of it. I have had this in my bag for a while and have to say that it is getting beat-in quite nicely.

    Lucid - 175

Feel of the plastic is great as it is one par with Champion plastic if not a bit better.  The flight ratings are very accurate as my disc would fall out of the air with a strong fade.  I think 2.5 fade is on point as it cuts hard but not overly aggressive. I overpowered this disc a lot with my forearm but liked throwing backhand.

Not the biggest fan of this disc as it doesn't carry partially well for how much speed is required for it not to hyzer out right away.  I found that it was a great disc for throwing max into a strong headwind when I needed around 200-250 and didn't want to overthrow it. Outside of that one use case, I didn't find a way to work the disc into my bag as other discs do that job much better (Firebird or Rask for me).

I gave it 3 stars because I feel like it's a disc not worth buying as it is not stable enough to really crank and at 11 speed.  I'm not trying to thread needles but get distance which this disc is not great at.

I got a First Run Sergeant when it came out thinking they had made the disc I had personally always wanted, a slightly more stable/overstable Renegade.  This disc is not that.  This disc is pretty darn overstable at my arm speed, which isn't saying much but is worth noting.  Once I started using this disc for what it actually does I grew to like it.  It has a very comfortable hand feel and has enough reliable overstability to trust it into all but the stiffest of headwinds.  I use this as my go to long driver in the wind when I want to bite off a little more distance than I know the Enforcer will get me.  The Sergeant will flip and turn a little where the Enforcer is going to laugh in the winds face and dump.  I like having a confident open course wind fighter that I can still get some distance out of.  This disc is not really on the beginner friendly side of things, especially if you expect anything other than some beef.  If you go into it knowing that's what you are gonna get and using it as a more utility disc or for wind fighting, then it could still be for you.  I feel like higher arm speed players will really like this disc, probably more than I do even. I have a 250' side arm at best so I'm not your guy for that review but I imagine people with some power behind their sidearm will love this disc as it has a pretty low profile while not necessarily being flat.

The Sergeant is a great overstable fairway driver for me. This thing is a perfect backhand and forehand disc that you will find great success throwing. For my armspeed it does not fly very straight for very long, the fade starts pretty early on and is present through most of the flight. I get a slight firebird feel with this disc but I think this is a little on the straighter side than the firebird. I really enjoyed the feeling of this disc in the hand and I absolutely love Lucid plastic. This stuff is super durable, and comfortable in all types of weather. If you pick up a Sergeant in the Lucid plastic you will be able to use it in any weather and it will hold the flight characteristics with a good amount of wear and tear. The Sergeant is one of those types of discs that you don't know what you are missing until you try it. An overstable fairway is something a lot of people will get uses out of whether they throw far or not. you can approach with this disc in a lot of different ways and drive off tees very easily.

    I love this disc!

I didn't really give this disc a chance until that of recently, but once I finally retired my Tridents I started looking through my bag fo something that would be overstable yet predictable. This disc can be thrown at any speed. You put a lot on it and you can guarantee a constant fade on a dog leg left, you flip it a little bit and it will be a great straight shot, you throw an anhyzer and it will hold it for most of the flight, but it will flip back over and fade left again. However, if you take some speed off, it will fly like you have a slower speed driver. I threw all my normal trident lines with it tonight, but took off a little speed and ended up hitting an ace just by throwing it up a little.

I love this disc and I can't wait to see more people using it.

The Sergeant is an awesome mold.

The speed 11 rim is very comfortable in the hand & the flat top makes for a really easy disc to grab a hold of.

I use the Sergeant both FH and BH with similar results. Straight to fade. This disc has very little turn & a nice bite at the end of the flight.

Not as long as a Raider, nor is it as fast. I use this for control shots that need to go farther than my fairway drivers but I don't want to risk over shooting or having something flip too far over.

I can FH this disc into the wind as well which is nice as it serves as a stand in for a more OS disc when thrown softer.

All in all, the Sarge is a killer mold that won't leave my bag any time soon.

This review is for the First-run Lucid Sergeant:

In the hand, the Sergeant is very comfortable; the rim isn't too big, the plastic is grippy, and not too stiff. The Sergeant I received had some dome to it, but not too much. Upon throwing it for a couple of rounds I would say that the description of the disc is accurate: It is a further Getaway and a slower Raider.

The flight is very manipulable as it will hold any angle you put on it and its fade rating is high enough to dependably finish. Thrown flat it will go fairly straight and then finish, but thrown hard enough will demonstrate some high speed turn. The flight is very tight. The Sergeant can handle itself in wind with relative ease. I am not the strongest forehand player, but the Sergeant is very comfortable in my hand for forehands, which has me grabbing for the Sergeant for most forehand drives.

Prior to bagging the Sergeant I bagged three Sheriffs. In my opinion, the Sergeant has the stability and workability that I have wanted out of my Sheriffs, which has kicked two out of my bag. It is a great disc and definitely worth a try.
