Joining the Breakout and the Proof in the Easy-to-Throw Line is the Gavel. If you like the Judge, the 2013 Disc of the Year, you will like the Gavel. With the same shape and bead as the Judge but a smaller profile and overall width, it fits great in smaller hands and has a very easy release. Beginners, and many seasoned players, will love this lightweight, smaller-rimmed option. Feel confident on your putt and approach with this little sharpshooter and watch your scores drop. The Gavel is ready to bang chains on your behalf.

I like the gavel for putting. The grip is great with my kids sized hands.  It is straight.

When I throw the gavel it stays straight.

The Gavel is a great disc for beginning players and young children. I cannot throw it at all without it turning into a roller, however I have an 8 year old son who can throw this disc very well. We have a 152g Prime version of the gavel which is perfect for kids. The rim on this putter is relatively shallow and is a has a mostly flat flight plate. I recommend this disc for kids because it is lighter and very understable, making it a very easy to throw disc.
