My Flight Ratings: 9.5/6/-2/1 Very Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 300 Straight Score: Ultra Straight

Quick update:  didn't take long to beat in.  Flies more understable now.  Consider it easy distance for beginners.  Will start out as 9601, quickly becoming 96-11, and eventually 96-21. That's better than a 96-21 that beats in to become a roller disc.  Higher arm speeds will probably pass on this one, unless they're looking for something that turns.  Beginner friendly, would make for a good first distance/control driver, that can be used on tight narrow fairways and even tunnel shots.  Doesn't have excessive lift despite crazy glide, so it's also compatible with low ceilings.  One of the most controllable discs I've ever encountered, which is why I'd choose this over others (for example where a Mantra (96-21) is highly  sensitive to nose-angle and overreacts, the Contender just seems super easy to control in comparison).  Although it's more on the understable side, because it handles tight fairways so well, not having a wide S flight, I'll categorize it as ultra straight.  Great for precision.

Love this disc.   6 stars.

Numbers are accurate. It goes far, great glide with a long gradual pushing fade.

Brand new 9 6 0 1 or 9 6 -1 1 depending on the distance.

Like a longer FD:  I was really enthused with the Hawkeye, the old FD mold, how straight it goes, with a mild pushing fade, and once beat in, just laser straight, so easy to control, and the Contender is a much longer version of that.

For reference I have very medium armspeed (I can get about 350 max from a Jet) and I'm at sea level.
