The Scavenger by Doomsday Discs is an easy-to-throw, understable mid-range with a slightly more shallow profile than the Despair. It's a good choice for players who prefer gripping a low-profile midrange. It was officially approved by the PDGA on 8/7/23.

Love this disc. I throw the despair as well, which I'm also a huge fan of. This is more understable and has some fade. A lot of glide. I like to throw it on a slight hyzer for 180-200 foot approaches, it will flip up with a little turn then long pan back left before dropping with a tiny bit of fade. Parks almost every single time, it's uncanny. Also decent for straight tunnel shots if I put a little more hyzer on it. Push like 25-40 more feet out of it. Lazer straight or slight S with a quick fade

I field tested the Scavenger with three of its midrange siblings -- the Desolation, Despair, and Flat Earth -- and the Divergent Kapre (which had the closest flight numbers). Its numbers seem to pan out relative to the other Doomsday mids, with its flight indeed reflecting the lowest stability of the four. It was often a little less understable in its final flight than the Kapre, so I reduced the Turn just a bit to match the Kapre's -1.5. As for stable/understable mids, I think I'd pick the Despair as the best of the four, but I still like how the Scavenger flies, and the Isolation plastic is similar to the Champion-grades I tend to prefer, so the feel and release are quite familiar and favorable. Good flight, good disc. I hope the Isolation plastic will prove itself as durable long-term as the other C-Blends.
