The Tiyanak is an ultra-understable fairway driver designed for the slowest arm speeds. This driver is designed for disc golfers who have a maximum throwing distance of less than 200 feet. New players will find the Tiyanak is one of the easiest drivers to throw because of its high speed turn and resistance to early fade. Young players will also be able to handle this disc with surprising ease. Divergent Discs wanted a disc that anybody could feel comfortable throwing in their very first rounds. More experienced players can find use for the Tiyanak in the understable utility slot of their bag.

I have really been enjoying this disc! Picked it up on sale at my Play it Again Sports. Wicked understable which is helpful for certain shot placements. Suuuuper flippy forehand for me so far, I guess I haven't been able to figure that part out, but this is a backhand killer.

As a beginner, this is my go to disc for an easy S shape out of the flight without putting too much power into it. If I throw it at full power, it is very easy to turn over and hook right on the backhand. EXTREMELY FLIPPY DISC. This disc has allowed me to get some really fun shapes out of the flight and has really opened up my throwing options. Would recommend for beginners and those trying to hone in their power.

I was honestly not expecting to be so impressed by this one. It is about as domey as the Lawin and Basilisk, but it is way more comfortable to hold, due to its narrower wing. This disc is actually MORE stable than the Lawin when thrown at full speed, demonstrating the ability to slowly fight out of its understability. The dome is still very much pronounced, giving it excellent glide, but a somewhat awkward feel. In my opinion, this is going to be the best driver for new/children/older players when looking for that max-distance turnover shot. You can watch my full review of this disc (plus the Lawin and Minotaur) here.

Throwing Max Grip plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

This is insanely easy to throw! I find that Divergent Discs is doing a great job on making some phenomenal beginner friendly discs. Upon throwing this it provides a pretty good S-Curve. It does follow the flight chart and provide flight numbers pretty accurately. I do have a harder time getting the 350' distance though. It seems that when I put the power behind it, it flips over into a roller. It can be easily turnover and overpowered though. Regardless of that though, its a pretty great disc to throw.

Overall, this makes for an excellent beginner disc.
