The Minotaur is an overstable fairway driver that is designed to be a favorite for forehand throws, big hooking hyzers, and shot-shaping flex shots. You can count on the Minotaur when you need a spike hyzer that doesn't go too far, or to go around pesky obstacles.

    Max Grip Details

Divigent Max Grip Plastic is one of the grippiest disc golf plastic blends on the market. It combines a soft feel with excellent grip for comfort and top notch performance. The grip compares with popular K1 plastic by Kastaplast with durability similar to the original Discraft X plastic. Max Grip plastic discs tend to have more dome than the same mold in different plastic versions.

I got several Max Grip discs for Christmas to flesh out my Divergent set and weather has finally enabled me to get out and start doing some field work to test them out. A couple things that struck me at once were how favorably different these Max Grip discs felt compared to the ones I had gotten last spring, making me wonder if I got a bit of bad batch on sale last year: These feel decidedly (and more pleasantly) grippier and seem to have a bit more give to them -- i.e., the earlier ones I had seemed a mite stiff and would give a rather wonky sounding klunk & bounce when hitting the ground at an angle. The Minotaur feels good in the hand and releases cleanly for me. The numbers seem about right to me. I'm not a very good forehand thrower, but the high stability might be better suited for good forehand throwers than your average backhand throws. Throwing hard straight into a headwind (RHBH) I could get pretty good forward distance with it before the fade kicked in, though for the most part I find I need to throw this on anhyzer to get the most of it. I tend to favor the higher grade plastics for their durability, but we'll see how well the Max Grip holds up over the course of a full season. I did have the very understable Max Grip Leviathan get popped up and turned over in the wind a couple times and go careening off into a parking lot and another time into a telephone pole, and for all the speed coming down from up high and hitting hard rough surfaces, it doesn't show much wear; so that bodes well for the durability of the Max Grip. Definitely a step up from the DX-type grades.

I am a very new player.  Bought two beginners sets and started adding discs. Realized I didn't have anything overstable. This is my first overstable disc and my first discraft disc. I was able to throw long hyzers and even flex shots almost immediately.
It's been a great compliment to my favorite driver which is understable(underworld). The maxgrip plastic has a nice feel. The dome top was a bit weird to me at first. Overall very happy with this disc.

This is by far my favorite of Divergent's newest releases, since it was the one I could throw the best as a player who can consistently throw Destroyers 400+ feet. Like the other Divergent discs, it has a pronounced dome, but its aggressive wing shape and relatively high parting line makes this one nice and overstable. This disc is going to be the most serviceable for the longest amount of time for developing players. I got this thing to go over 300 feet with relative ease, so when the arm allows, this disc will go. Awesome addition to the Divergent lineup. You can watch my review of this disc here:

Throwing Max Grip plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

This is a great mold from Divergent Discs. The stability of it is awesome. The in hand feel, is pleasant and comfortable. The rim is quite the manageable size for most hands, I would think. This has a decent dome on it. Overall, I enjoy how the disc feels in my hand.

The way this flies is wonderful. I find that it is dependable and incredibly consistent! The speed and overstability make for a straight flying disc that ends with a decent fade. I found that very few times I didn't get the flight that I was expecting. Releasing this on an anhyzer, it held it for a bit and then flattened out and faded. Making a pretty consistent flex shot. It holds hyzer lines really nicely.

I think this can fit into anyone's bag. For the more seasoned player, this will be a dependable fairway driver. For the beginner, this will make a great utility disc and possible even go-to fairway driver.

Overall, this is a favorite out of the Divergent Discs line.
